no, but it really shouldn't matter. In theory everyones players will play the same number of games. It is up to to owner to set their lineup accordingly.

Hey Lathum, maybe you should edit the thread title to just state "Need one more to draft" or something like that.

I hope to be there at the start, possibly not until 9pm.

I didn't adjust any of the pre-rankings, so please no laughing when I bomb on my first pick if it's autodrafted

If I bomb on the first pick and I make the pick, then laughing is fair

Any spots still open?

Myself and another person would be interested if there were 2 openings.

I'll be rushing home at 4:30 p.m. my time (draft at 5:45 p.m. local time). I should get home in time. But it is rainy down here and I would hit traffic on a good day, much less on a day when rain turns SoCal drivers into morons (okay, even MORE into morons than usual), so I may not make it in time. I should be there by 6 p.m.

isn´t it possible to just push it back half an hour somehow if it´s multiple people being late by a couple minutes ?

That means starting it at 9:15 EST, I'm not really sure that would be fair even if it was possible.

I actually think I will make it back in time, but even if I didn't, it would be hard for the computer AI to screw up the first round or two. I mean, sure we could quibble about the value of one star player or another, but by and large, you're going to get a star or two drafted there whether you're doing the drafting or the computer is. It's later on when a human owner can get screwed by the AI drafting logic, where it's harder to project the production for some players and where you can't react to trends.

why wouldn´t it be fair ?

For fun i just went over the average draft order and saw Allen Iverson get picked at 128 on average. There must be leagues with really strange dynamics

I just hope my internet doesn´t die on me, has not been very stable the last couple minutes ... Plus yahoo´s draft-board (where you make one of your own) annoys the hell out of me. Why doesn´t it just let me make positional rankings ?

Because it is a weeknight. People have to work tomorrow, put kids to bed, etc...

I'm not sure they want to be up until 10:30 doing an NBA fantasy draft, especially one that had the expectation of ending 30 minutes earlier.

not that it isn´t a good point, i just wasn´t thinking of that considering i´m not working fridays until christmas (but instead till like 10 on 2 other days ...) starting tomorrow. Didn´t mean to come on as a jackass with that question

btw as to an earlier question : How do waivers work ?

Also, the stupid yahoo board just deleted like half my changes because i accidentily put in more than 168 players (our number of players drafted). Now i just typed a dozen "no way" and "reach for" guys into word and am done with it.

This draft is going to be brutal. I have no clue what I am doing.

So that was fun Very proud of myself for keeping it together and only drafting 2 bench players and just 5 Europeans

quick question : Do we actually set a lineup for every day (but on the monday prior) or for a full week ?

I am looking forward to this. I went into the draft with a plan and I was able to execute that plan fairly well. So, I am anxious to see if what I did is any good or not.

just wanted to share that i managed to draft a total of 9 International players (admittedly including college players Bogut, Deng and Nash) and that in a draft full of germans where naturally the supposedly sleeper-Euros go a little earlier.

Yes, i might definitely be biased in that regard

for this league i thought long and hard about wether to start Afflalo or Ilyasova and then went with Afflalo. Of course, i was under the impression that Kleiza had just 2 games (because the calendar wasn´t rolled far enough to the right) or otherwise he would have been the starter.

So if i loose due to a couple points in the scoring category, i hereby proactively blame Yahoo for that
