Recording question

I have a Dell Studio 17 laptop with an HDMI connection. I'd like to hook my XBox 360 to my laptop via HDMI and record video game videos onto my laptop.

Can I do this with a direct connection via HDMI, and what other software would I need?

You need and HDMI input. My guess is you have an HDMI output. You need a capture card.

Besides the setup he is talking about you could use composite cables and a Dazzle, but that won't be as pretty.
