Outlook question (mail on server) being used on multiple computers
Home computer and work computer both have Outlook set to leave mail on server. When I get into work, things work fine as all of the emails I received at home will redownload to my work computer.
But, any emails received while at work wont be on my home computer when I get home. It really sucks when I forget to close Outlook at work because I wont receive emails at home or on my phone. Why are they acting differently?

Compare the settings between the two. A screenshot may help. My guess is one has a "leave messages on server" option checked and the other doesn't. I don't have a POP3 account setup in Outlook or I would check (I assume that is what you're using).

Sounds like you should be using IMAP instead of POP. Not sure if whatever service you are using offers this, but Gmail does.

this makes me wonder if you are deleting emails at work and have the "remove from server when I delete" box checked. Closing outlook on in and of itself shouldn't affect this...but it will delete your deleted items (it this option is checked)

I believe you're misunderstanding what he's saying. I think the problem is that if he leaves outlook open it pull sin the new emails, and pulls them off the server. I don't believe it has anything to do with deletion, the problem is that its not leaving emails on the server when it pulls them down.
