WTF Notre Dame?!?!

As most of you heard about the tragic death of Declan Sullivan who fell taping a Notre Dame practice. Notre Dame owned up to it and took responsibility.

But there is another controversy there now surrounding the suicide of a young female student. She killed herself 9 days after reporting that she had been sexually assaulted by a Notre Dame football player. She did everything you are supposed to do, file the report with the University police.

Unfortunately, the Notre Dame police didn't do anything with it. They didn't acknowledge the story and didn't pass it on to the county police or prosecutor. The player was never suspended pending investigation and the whole thing was swept under the rug. The school and police have stonewalled the family.

Notre Dame followed up by sending an e-mail to all students claiming the story was misleading and that they had sent the report to the police and prosecutor. What they failed to mention is they only sent it over after the Tribune told them they were publishing a story on it and asked for comment.

I guess I find it odd that this is happening at Notre Dame of all places. The school that had a fit about a pro-choice President speaking on campus. I guess life is only important if it doesn't interfere with a chance to play in some shit-tier bowl game.
