I was following the game on NFL.com GameCenter. I'm really happy for the Lions.
Did Charles Rogers play? I notice that he didn't catch a pass. Maybe I missed some news about him or something.

He got hurt very early on. By all accounts he re-injured his collar bone, maybe even re-broke it. If so, he could be done for the year. Bly was hurt too. Early reports are that it's a hyperextended knee. If we lose either (god forbid both) of these guys for an extended period of time. It will be another crap year, this streak being broken aside.

I'm pretty happy, but it's really hard to be. Rogers and Bly are down, and maybe out for EXTENDED periods of time, which pretty much takes away any hope of a post-season appearance or even .500.

After watching David Terrell act like, well, David Terrell, and after watching every other receiving target drop everything, all I gotta say is...where's Marty Booker?
We didn't need Ogunleye. We need a freakin' mature capable wideout. Hell, give me Booker back, and give me Marcus Robinson back. Please. Purty please. |

I don't think the Bears played all that bad of a game. They played hard which was nice to see. It was their stupid mental mistakes which cost them this game I think, hopefully Lovie will not let that happen again.

Charles Rogers=Extremely Fragile Human Being
Other than that, I am happy with the win. I nearly had a stroke, though, after McQuarters returned the free kick off the safety into Lions territory. |

It looked like Bly got hurt when he tried to do his little dance, is that how it really happened?

That's what I've heard but I don't think there's been any confirmation of it. Not that he would probably want to admit it, for that matter. |

The title of this thread says it all... It certainly is over, the season that is, for Charles Rogers. He's going to have surgery on his collar bone and will be placed on IR for the remainder of the season.
What was that Samuel L. Jackson said in Unbreakable? "The kids used to call me Mr. Glass!"

Bly is reported as only out for 2 games. Good news. Williams looked good. Tai Streets and Hakim will pick up the pace. I have always been a David Kircus fan, he was reported to get signed off of the practice squad.

Yeah, Bly should be back after the bye week in Week 4, so no real worries there. It would be nice to have him to cover T.O. in Week 3 but, oh well. As for the receivers,we are in MUCH better shape this year than when Rogers went out last year. It is a bad loss, ane will be missed, but at least we have a couple guys who can actually make some plays out there. |

If it makes you Lions fans feel better, last year was the first time Roy Williams went through an entire football season without missing time due to an injury since the 10th grade.
