It has been a pretty strong free agent class this year.

I got all of the targets I wanted (and could afford) except Patino, and extended Sanchez and Ramirez, both on fairly team-friendly deals. I also signed former Hooligans pitching prospect Forrest Henry away from Napa Valley, where Teach was criminally using him as a reliever.

As usual, though, when I look to see what Hartford and Colorado did, they did tons, too, with hyde bringing Rawlings back and Tasan landing Fielding.

Heh... to this day, even with all of the other strong managers in the RL, I still always look to see what hyde and Tasan did.

I forgot to mention it since ekcut already made a post, but also please make sure to welcome ekcut back to the league as the Baltimore manager. For those that have been around for a while, you may remember that ekcut originally started his FOOL career managing this same Baltimore franchise.

Henry did nothing to help my team out. Maybe he can work some magic for you. Good riddance...I mean, luck.

Probably I shouldn't have spent all my time saying goodbye to my baby brother last night before we shipped him back to the Army. I didn't even export for FA...woops!

Diggity. Still didn't quite have the cash to get everyone I wanted, but I landed the guys I targeted, most importantly Fielding. Hopefully that accelerates my rebuild.

Running a little late on the sim this morning. I have to shovel some snow so my wife can get my daughter to ballet class this morning. Once done shoveling, I'll run the sim.

I'm near you in Grafton, so we didn't get much snow, maybe 2 inches overnight. I just have to clear it out before my wife leaves or she packs it into the driveway and makes it impossible to clean out later.

Welcome...
Your other leagues will soon stop being fun...sorry about that...it's an uncontollable side effect of the FOOL.

When you are ready to start dealing, think "Baltimore" when looking for a trade partner.

Looks like the server is having issues. I will open a ticket with the hosting facility about it.

As always though, anyone that wants to send an email export, feel free to send it to me: dunhere AT yahoo DOT com

Weird, when they sent me a response to my trouble ticket, they responded in Italian. (For a server and company based out of Florida). Luckily Italian is similar enough to Spanish for me to get the gist of what was being said..

Maybe they got Naples, Florida mixed up with Naples, Italy?

Either way that's pretty much amazing.
