The Progeny of Neloxia: A FM/Sim City 4 Dynasty

I haven't given up on my other dynasty, I just think this idea would be fun and want to explore whether it'll work.

I can't spin you up on the history of fake countries and me, but I created a country called Sanfranchez when I was a kid. The people were called Neloxians and the elaborate history followed me into adulthood, the internet and some failed micronation sims too. I could show you maps, cities and all sorts of other randomness aimed at this endeavor.

I'd already created a Neloxian soccer league in FM, but was thinking a bit more elaborately and believed that it would be neat to incorporate pictures and such into the entire idea as well.

The idea behind Neloxia is that it's the adapted adult idea of my childhood nation, but simplified in ways to make it interesting in this storyline context. For one, I'm going to try to encompass just one area in a SimCity city, that way I'm only working with one square which geographically isn't intended to be that large but will make the story more interesting to develop.

Also, it'll make developing a football league there a lot easier because the area will be smaller, the neighborhoods (hopefully) distinct and thus, rivalries can crop up.

I haven't built a SimCity town where I named all of the roads since Rush Hour add-on came out, but this time that's precisely what we intend to do, to keep it immersive and also because we might find that teams often find themselves on either side of a particular street border and their fans as well.

I'm likely to sim at least 10 years into the future and also not to use real players, because they're not particularly relevant to the story and also, to give us a basis for history of teams. I'd love to go further into the future than that, so there's real history to build around, but we'll see.

So stay tuned for the introduction.

I've embedded some of the pictures, but the rest are links as I thought it'd be easier to read the dynasty that way.

edit:
To keep myself interested, I keep adding cities to the original plot of Neloxia, so it's going to grow a lot bigger than originally conceived, but closer (and now surpassing) the in-game population since FM won't let you edit that.

No matter, really. But it'll befit it's global financial status after a while as it grows more. Here's the most recent aerial map. Evenutally those outer cities will get teams of their own, not via expansion but through moves when a new team builds a ground we'll dub them the team of one of our new cities that I'll introduce you to (I haven't even named some of them yet, though I'm considering pulling some of the names I've used that are in-game already so players can be from there.)

(Updated as of 1.26.11. Paragon City is the name of the map I downloaded and it wouldn't let me edit it, so ignore that.)

The Confederacy of Neloxia is a nation based in Europe for the purposes of our dynasty. A small nation, Neloxia has the highest gross domestic product per person in the world according to the CIA World Factbook. In recent years, the Neloxia government has invested millions in its sports infrastructure to raise the nation's profile using sports. In the meantime, government leaders worked with the private sector to create a national football league that would be world's best football league in Europe.

NORTH CROMWELL is the part of original Cromwell that didn't secede when the Confederacy was formed. Home to 9,676 people, this city serves as the wedge suburb between Malbonia and the rest of Neloxia.

Across from HSBC Tower is HSBC Stadium, home to North Cromwell's pride and joy, Cromwell City Football Club. The Dragon Owls are the only Super 8 team based in North Cromwell.

Beside North Cromwell are a collection of five cities called the Quint Cities for the five communities of Birchwood, Beachwood, Enclave, Swenton and Belding.

Birchwood neighbors North Cromwell as seen here.

PIC 1
Pic 2

This is the University of Swenton, based in the economic hub of the Quint Cities and considered one of the best schools in the nation.

Five Cities Banc Stadium is home to two teams that represent the Quint Cities area. Five Cities Football Club and Enclave which is a team representing the City of Enclave, the smallish, wealthy city that is home mostly to doctors, lawyers and professors at the University of Swenton. Five Cities fans are considered blue collar people, give the small town nature of the area and for years, were people who were born and raised there. Enclave has a national following and is especially revered on the other side of the country, which you'll be introduced to later. Part of why Enclave didn't build it's own stadium is because of this rabid following, as the team will sometimes play half its games across the city closer to the capital.

You know how there are "You might be a redneck jokes?" Well, there are a whole line of those jokes for Enclave supporters in the form of "You might support Enclave if..." and usually revolving money, tea drinking habits and prudish behavior. One example of this joking is this one: "Why didn't Enclave build their own stadium? Because the priests from Swenton wanted to be able to drink at the games."

Here's an aerial view of the Quint Cities area

So if you're paying attention, we've noted three of the eight teams in the Neloxian Super 8 League: Cromwell City, Enclave and Five Cities Here are a few more homes to some other teams:

Alzate

Alzate is the largest city in North Neloxia. The commercial capital of the region, it is home to two teams Alzate Capital and Upton Park. It includes the community of North Alzate. Capital is the more popular of the two teams in the city and has a larger national following, whereas Upton Park fans tend to be more local, because they are actually based on the other side of the island but after years of not being able to find a ground to play, Alzate offered them the chance to groundshare at Alzate Stadium and they took the chance even though it was a bit further from their home base.

Hellsbath is located next to the town of Craven, which separates it from the eastern half of the city, a village called East Hellsbath which is just south of Alzate. The community has its own team called Hellsbath United The team plays its home games at Community Bank Field in Craven and its fan base primarily comes from the Hellsbath-Craven areas with some bleedover into North Alzate in recent years.

So now we have:

Cromwell City, Enclave, Five Cities, Alzate Capital, Hellsbath United and Upton Park

Ok, so we have two teams left for you all to meet. The capital of Neloxia is Marisa, which is the largest city in the country. It's essentially all of the east island, but it's broken up into city-districts which were once cities, before being annexed by Marisa decades ago. There's still some lingering resentment about this, however, so football allegiances often fall upon these lines too.

In any case, here's a flyover of the entire eastern half of Neloxia.

Pic 1
Pic 2

As we discussed before, Upton Park is a "osoti" team (other side of the island) even though they play their games primarily in Alzate. Still, Upton Park is an actual place based south of Marisa and the natural home of the Upton Park Football Organisation.

The biggest club in the country hails from Marisa and is known as Cerise. The Redbirds play their games at Sansboro Bank Stadium in the heart of downtown Marisa, near the Overbridge district. In this same area is NPG Arena. Enclave play several games here a year, as well, depending on the season.

Pic 1
Pic 2

The 8th and final team in the Neloxian Super 8 League is the team that essentially draws its support from all of the towns surrounding Marisa including North Marisa where their stadium is located. So geographically, they have the biggest reach and this stems largely from their origins as the team that drew military members. The team still counts the Armed Services as their biggest patron.

This team is known as The Orion Protectorate Football Organisation or to fans simply as Orion. The team went by the name Protectorate for the first thirty years and some fans still refer to the team as Protectorate, but the team sought to shed the image as a military state team and have used the Orion moniker for decades now.

They play their games in North Marisa at Green Stripe Stadium.

To give a sense of how rich the country is -- for the purposes of this game, anyway -- it's as if the country has the wealth of a Arab petrostate with the corruption and the banking system of the Caymans or Bermuda.

Ok, I think what I'm going to have to do is go back and create this league. I didn't create any kind of reserve league when I first created Neloxia because I didn't think about it. I just wanted to make sure it worked and so forth.

I need to fix it, maybe even create a second division which might mean more screenshots and more cities. I don't know yet, but it's evident to me that this needs to develop a bit more because while it's still a very interesting place and the idea burns within me, I feel like...the storyline will lack because there's not enough depth for us to build on things.

So, I'll probably just post the restart in this thread so I don't have to start from scratch and I might very well sim past 2016 on purpose for that same reason. But I'll be back with a new and improved Neloxian league.

THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Here are the forthcoming teams for the (new) Football League of Neloxia or simply The League. Based in the outskirts of metropolitan areas of Neloxia you've seen, the League teams are all located in the outer region communities.

The six-team league has no promotion or relegation and plays a 25-game season.

Here are the teams:

Netherwood plays host to Majestic Casino Stadium, the second largest stadium in the League with 11,000 seats. The ground is owned by Marine Town who are just known as Marine by fans.

Pic 1

County City is home to the County City Football Club, who play at Mercy Field, an 8,500 seat stadium.

Pic 2

The town of Sheldon plays host to one of the few Neloxia teams that are community owned. The Sheldon F.C. Grasshoppers play at Sheldon Community Ground.

Pic 3

The village of Shipwreck boast the largest stadium in the League at 19000 seats. Channel One Stadium plays host to the Shipwreck Community Football Organisation, the only other team in the league that are locally owned. The stadium is groundshared with the team from farming community north of Shipwreck called Outerboro.

Pic 4

The sixth and final team in the League represents the two communities east of Netherwood -- Eastbridge and Northbridge Inlet. Their team is known as Wheatbridge United, which came together after a merger of a team from Outerboro South that played on the south side of the island, coupled with a team from the bridge side.

The idea is hopefully to develop Neloxian players and to give them a venue to play.

There will be a third division as well that I'll show you next, as well as two reserve leagues for the NS8 -- an U18 and U21.

The third division is called the Neloxian Football Conference or NFC. There are 8 teams in all, each playing in communities or stadiums listed above.

Quote:

Ferryhaven (Channel One Stadium)
Watchmen (Majestic Casino Stadium)
Cromwell Athletic (Malbonia)
Rogues (Malbonia)
Legion (Green Stripe Stadium)
Craven Villagers (Community Bank Field)
Swenton Town (Five Cities Banc Stadium)
Embassy of Football (HSBC Stadium)

Two Malbonia teams -- the two best in that country -- were admitted to the NFC, while a provisional form of promotion and relegation was allowed. Basically the worst team in the higher division and the best team in the lower division duel to determine who plays in the higher league the following season.

There is no entry into the NFC, it is the lowest division.

Cleaned up the vestiges of my original attempt and we'll essentially reintroduce all three leagues going forward, but I'd like to get a few more years of history together before I start, because it'll make it more interesting I think to have built up some history and rivalries or whatever else. Plus, we'll have more fictional players rather than real ones.

Finally, I've cleaned up the dynasty. The map pictures are often linked to many of the stories, but I figure now it should be easier to navigate or easier to read the dynasty if you don't have to worry about a million pictures loading before you can start reading.

So with that, here we go.

I'm thinking of switching from Oceania to Europe, by replacing Liechtenstein Faroe Islands because frankly...Oceania is sort of boring and mostly isolated, so it's not as interesting to play. Everything else would essentially remain the same, except the league sizes, maybe. Liechtenstein doesn't have a Champions League spot and I think that's hard coded into the game. I'm going to try to figure out a way around it, but if not, then I'm going to have to pick a different minor country instead.

I discovered a problem that was causing the 3rd division champion to end up having to play a 1st division team (4th place) to earn promotion to the 2nd division. This didn't happen for years, but happened two years in a row, which affected my story and so, I decided to go back and edit the database more. The story needed something more anyway and after doing some more FM board looking around, I came up with this possibility.

I know that it can take a lot of work to get things to where you want it to be, and how frustrating it can be. Good luck!

Now that things are finally organized how I want them (for the most part...) I should reintroduce you to the Neloxian league pyramid.

The former NS8 now has ten teams is called the Neloxian Premier Division. Two teams are relegated each year and there is no longer a playoff, just the worst two teams get kicked out.

The second division is still called The League of Football Neloxia or just plain "The League." This league had six teams when we started out, but now has ten teams. Four teams are relegated from The League each season, two are promoted to replace the two teams relegated from the Premier Division, making it one of the most exciting derbies for position in all of global football.

Finally, the third division is the Neloxian Football Conference and four teams get promoted annually.

I'll introduce you to some of the new teams in the league later on, but here is a revised aerial map of Neloxia with the addition of other cities, which I've put at the first post now. I left Malbonia in Oceania, so ignore that you see them there, because I could've edited them but I didn't really feel like it and so, it's an anomaly that we'll just not account for in this story going forward.

WORLD CUP REVIEW

We're currently in the year 2030, meaning we've had 20 seasons or so of Neloxian football. This is a good starting point, I believe. The 2030 World Cup (back in South Africa) hasn't taken place yet, but Neloxia is not part of it this year. We'll get to our world cup history in a second though.

A surprise that is in the World Cup, however is Malbonia, our former Oceania rivals. I'm guessing that having left two of their teams in our league has helped them substantially because I just never made the swap. Sort of neat, I guess.

Here's the past champions of the World Cup through the last one and not including 2030 of course.

Here's the World Cup draw for 2030.

Neloxia has made the World Cup twice, in 2022 where we lost in the Quarter-Finals to Brazil 2-1 and in 2026, finishing 3rd in the group stage in a group with Turkey, Ivory Coast (who advanced) and the U.S.A. who along with us did not.

The USA has lost in the Group Stages in each of the last three World Cups after back to back Quarterfinal appearances in 2014 and 2018, but unlike us, they're actually back there this season again.

The Neloxian football season lasts from March-August, because it annoys me to have a season that runs between two calendar years.

The Premier Division has been dominated in the past by Alzate, who've spent all 20 years in the league, winning it six times, their last title coming eight years ago. Enclave have won it five times, including twice in the past five years and currently lead this season. Cromwell City, Cromwell Athletic and Alzate are the only three teams to have spent all 20 seasons in the Premier, but City have never won the league placing second three times and currently sit in the relegation zone.

Here are the standings as of 8 June 2030 in the Premier Division, we're at the halfway mark of the season with the season lasting 27 games in the Premier. In Neloxian football, teams earn 5 points for a win and 1 for a tie, so needless to say...wins are important. The Top 4 teams in the NPD go to the Champions League, while the 5th and 6th place teams head to the UEFA Europa League, along with the FA Cup winner.

The Neloxian FA Cup is the biggest payday in Neloxian football for non-division clubs as it gives them the shot in the arm they need, if they win, to dream of one day playing on the big stage.

This may explain why in 20 years of competition, there has never been a repeat champion and that'll be the same this year as 2029 champion Sheldon are not in the semi-finals of this year's tournament.

It will come as no surprise that Premier Division clubs win the FA Cup more often than not. But lower level teams do indeed find glory. League teams have won several times, but teams from the third division -- Conference Neloxia -- have won the FA Cup twice since the inception of the championship. In 2011, conference side Ebner City drank from the cup and a decade later, a more surprising side in the form of Legion captured the title.

The reason that it's more surprising when Legion did it, is because Ebner City only spent 2011 in the Conference after being relegated in the 1st year of the League and have been a yo-yo club between the Premier and League level ever since. Legion, on the other hand, have never spent a season at the highest level and up to that point their best League finish had been 8th.

So for a yo-yo club that couldn't manage to stay at even the 2nd division to manage to capture the biggest prize in Neloxian football was a huge surprise.

In the 2030 FA Cup semi-finals, Premier division side Ebner City will face off against conference side Embassy of Football (quite possibly my favorite team name in all of Neloxian football) In the other semi-final, Wheatridge United from the League will take on Premier division juggernaut Orion

The League Neloxia is considered one of the best second divisions in the world, mostly because of it's competitiveness. Middle of the road in this league just might get you relegated. In fact, no current League team has spent their entirety in the League. They've either yo-yo'd from the Premier down from the Conference up.

Here are the current standings in The League:

The Neloxian Football Conference or NFC might seem easy. Finish 4th and you get promoted. No playoffs. But you can right back there a year later if you don't find a way to get it done at the higher level and so, many teams find themselves toiling there a year later no matter how joyous the promotion once felt.

League side Triesenberg were had spent 29 years in the NFC before finally being promoted this past season. Craven Villagers have spent all but three of their years in the Conference, most recently in the League back in 2016. Braunstein were promoted to the League in '24 and '26 but otherwise have always been at the Conference level, too.

Here are the current NFC standings

The Neloxian FA Vase is the lower-level cup competition for teams in the League and NFC. Marine Town have won it the most times, claiming the Vase five times in their history, most recently in '24. No other team has won it more than twice.

Here are the quarterfinal results from the current (2030) Neloxian FA Vase competition.

Upton Park, County City, Embassy and Cerise will advance to the semi-final draw.

Neloxian clubs have claimed the Europa League four times. The most recent in '28 when Cromwell City claimed their first title. Enclave won in '22, Hellsbath United in '19 and Upton Park were the maiden Neloxian winners in '13.

In the Champions League, the first Neloxian team to breakthrough was juggernaut Alzate back in 2017. Orion took the crown in '25 and Cromwell Athletic in '27. Alzate has lost twice, Cromwell Athletic once and Orion once as well.

In the European Super Cup, four Neloxian teams have claimed the title, most recently with Orion in '25.

CHALLENGE 1: FROM GOATS TO GLORY

So my next task is to figure out what team to take over. I'd consider taking over the national team and piloting them to the World Cup, but we still have four years for that to happen and so, in the meantime I need something to do before we get to qualification.

My first task, I believe, will be to bring a Conference side to the Premier Division over the next two years. No easy task in 2030 where all of the players are fictional and such, but I guess that's why they call it a challenge, right?

So I'm going to consider one of four clubs to take over and I'll run them until I get fired or get offered something better.

Here are the four teams I'm going to consider:

Embassy of Football: Added when I remade this whole league, they started in the second division before spending two years in the Premier Division. They haven't been back since. They groundshare at Cromwell City's 25,000 seat HSBC Stadium. It'd be nice to get them their own ground, as many Neloxian teams who I started off as groundsharers have done. Really, with a bad ass name like this, the Ambassadors ought to really be standard-bearers of Neloxian football and right now, they're just not.

Still, they do have some history to work with and we have to like that, right?

I'll chronicle the other three teams I'm considering in a subsequent post.

The second of the four teams I'm considering taking over are the most prestigious in terms of their history and have fallen a bit on hard times.

Cerise were a Premier Division club that dropped out of the top ranks for in 2015, tumbling down to the Conference two years later and then worked their way back up to the Premier two other times in 2020 and 2023, but haven't been back since.

They own Neloxia's largest stadium -- Sansboro Banc Stadium -- so for them to be tumbling back and forth haplessly is a real vacuum of leadership within the organization that hasn't been identified.

Still, they'll start the 2031 season back in the Conference once again after a 7th place finish in the League (5 points back of Legion) left them back in the relegation zone. They'll start the year as the richest club in the Conference -- 13th in the nation as of this season -- with a estimated franchise value of €169 million, which should help things out a bit to a potential manager looking to lift the club's spirits. Despite three League championships and a FA Cup title back in 2014, the team is seeking something more. What they view as their rightful place amongst the league's juggernauts.

Right now, that'd be a tough mountain to climb though.

The third club I'm considering is another team that'll be spending the 2031 season in the Conference after being relegated -- Watchmen F.C. who groundshare in Netherwood at Majestic Casino Stadium (owned by Marine Town F.C.) hold the distinction of having won four NFC championships in their history and are heading down to win a fifth.

Their history is checkered at best. Their only two consecutive seasons in the League were their first two 2010-11, after that, they've been the epitome of a yo-yo club. With the exception of the 2024-25 seasons, they've gone back and forth between the two leagues every season. Not exactly performances that inspire, but perhaps all they really need is a steady hand at the wheel to get them over the hump?

They are valued at €75m, at the top of the bottom half of all Neloxian clubs.

The fourth and final club that I'm considering is another team that's being relegated from the League after this season. Black Tambourine Football Organisation are the least regarded and the poorest of the teams I'm considering.

They groundshare between NFC team Triesenberg's stadium and when needed, Awosting Stadium, home of Ebner City of the Premier Division.

Their trophy case was empty for 18 years until they claimed their first NFC title in '27, but in each of the their three stints in the League (after spending from 2010-2025 in the Conference exclusively) have resulted in 10th place finishes.

Undoubtedly, this would be the most challenging of the four teams to resurrect, but it would be very rewarding to foist a new kind of history onto a fan base that simply has no experience with it.

So there you go, all four teams. I'd love to take over a team like Cerise because I feel like I could get the Redbirds out of the doldrums. But it'd also be fun to take over a team like Embassy or Black Tambourine who don't own their own stadiums, help them become good and get them new stadiums in parts of the country that are growing, but do not have existing teams to call their own (maps forthcoming...of course) but I'm just not sure if my management skills would be enough alone to rise one of these bottom feeders out of the League. The Conference isn't as daunting, though I say that now having never steered a season there.

Well, I'm about to choose and so, we'll see how it goes and what's next. Which team would you choose if you were selecting?

I agree great team names. Really cool idea. I wanna play in your sandbox

I think I would choose them in the following order.

Embassy - Maybe the most deserving (and it seems like your favorite)
Black Tambourine - Just a cool name and having played for years with Reading FC it's neat to bring a team glory when it really hasn't had any/much.
Cerise - Return to glory also probably the most able to spend their way back to the top.
Watchmen Another really cool name. I can see the banners in the crowd now.

I think that I'm going with Black Tambourine. I really couldn't decide, because all four were teams I was interested in. But Black Tambourine could really use a new stadium and I just sort of feel like if I could get them to respectability it'd be rewarding and fun to start looking at the map and figuring out what city is going to host them once we're able to get them a new stadium.

Thanks for the comments, kudos and input. It's appreciated 1000x over.

Welcome to Black Tambourine

I'm going to spend the off-season trying to shore things up. The first thing I've done is let go of the entire coaching staff. No real need to keep anyone around, as they were all pretty middle of the road at the absolute best.

I've asked for a feeder club, but I can't anticipate they'll find us anything particularly useful. Still, we can try.

One bright side on the affiliated clubs department is that we are a feeder club for Enclave, who have won six Premier Division championships. Not exactly a bad club to be associated with, as they're pretty much the gold standard of Neloxian football right now. I didn't know of this affiliation until I took over, so it's a stroke of luck that it's the case at all.

The one nice thing about the Neloxian leagues is the transfer period is all year round, so you can go after guys pretty much whenever. It makes it hard to keep strong talent in Neloxia, but otherwise it's nice for being able to seek out talent when the season ends and so forth. I'm restricting myself to finding players pretty much during the off-season, at mid-season and then I'm just simming games otherwise because I'm not a very good manager.

So you'll get reports at three times during the season. Off-season, Mid-season and end of season.

I told the board of my expectations for the club

Let's see if I can hold up my end of the bargain.

Speaking of bargain's here's what Sky Bet has placed the odds on our promotion:

I've scheduled us for some world tours. We'll be traveling to Spain, England, Israel, Scotland and Italy. Not only will it give us a pre-season glimpse of our team since we're out of season, it'll let you see a few teams whose names you might recognize outside of Neloxia.

Here's our tour schedule:

Quote:
11/2: Brescia (Italy)
11/3: Lecce
11/4: Sampdoria
11/5: Monza
11/13: Blackpool (England)
11/14: MK Dons
11/15: Reading
11/16: Notts Co.
11/23: Maccabi Tel-Aviv (Israel)
11/24: Hapoel Haifa
11/25: S.C. Ashdod
11/26: Bnei Sakhnin

We had a really good tour, but I think that owes to the lack of caliber of the rest of the world compared to what's going on in Neloxia these days.

Anyway, we're at near halfway point of the season and it's time to check with the ballclub. We lost in the 2nd round of the Neloxian FA Cup 1-0 to Shipwreck of the Premier Division. We lost in the 1st round of the FA Vase to fellow NFC squad Inlet Athletic on a 7-4 aggregate. Oh well, it sucks but I didn't come here for empty cup victories. I came to get them promoted and we'll go from there.

Current roster

Speaking of promotion, here's the standings after 11 games. (24 games in the NFC season)

We're sitting well so far and better than I could've anticipated to start the year, to be honest. We'll just see how the rest of the year goes. I'm attempting to make some moves to see if we can't shore up our position, but then, so are other teams.

Go Wonderkids, Go!
Neloxia won the 2029 U20 World Cup, but for whatever reason didn't qualify for the 2031 iteration and won't be able to defend our title.

We did, however, win this year's Euro U21 World Championships, defeating England in a rout.

I'm looking forward to the World Cup in a few years. I think we're ready as a nation to make a real impact.

Randomness
I wish I'd made sure we weren't based in Scandinavia. The names are annoying and it's hard to tell them apart. I can use FMRTE to change them, but that's tedious. I just might though, it's seriously driving me crazy. I won't restart, but I'm almost tempted to just because of it.

Stadium
With some of the team having built stadiums since I created this universe, there was some new places for teams to groundshare. I moved us from Stade Triesenberg, which is a 6,000 ground that was home to a conference rival as well as at least one other team in that league and entered into a groundshare with our affiliate club, Enclave who built 47,820 seat Enclave Stadium in 2028.

We're not a very heavy draw club for whatever reason (near the bottom of the NFC in attendance) but I'd rather play in front of 700 fans there than playing at the stadium of a team that we consider a rival. Until we can get our own ground, anyway.

2031 SEASON IN REVIEW

EUROPA LEAGUE: Alzate beat Sheldon in the first ever all Nelxoia final 1-0 to claim their first Europa League championship.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Enclave beat Real Madrid 2-0 to win their first ever Champions League title in their 11th appearance. The closest they'd ever come prior to this season were semi-final appearances in 2019, 22, 24 and 26.

SUPER CUP
Enclave knocked off Alzate in the Super Cup 2-1, becoming the first Neloxian team to win the Super Cup since Orion knocked off Manchester City in 2025. This was the first time two Neloxian clubs squared off in this Cup as well.

NELOXIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

Swenton Town have spent a total of 12 years in the Premier League, with 10 of those coming since the 2020 season. They've always been known as the "other team that plays in Swenton" groundsharing Five Cities Stadium with Five Cities F.O., a hard-luck club who haven't seen the lights of the Premiership since 2022 despite starting there during the first season.

Well their fans have reason to rejoice, as they have dominated the NPD en route to their first ever championship.

On the flip side, Outerboro are back down on the elevator to the League level after just one season in the Premiership, their first since 2026 and only their second ever. The Malbonian side Cromwell Athletic on the other hand will face relegation for the first time ever. The two-time NPD champions who claimed the UEFA Champions League as recently as 2027 are now headed downwards, hoping they make fast work of the League level and head back to their rightful place in the Premier Division.

LEAGUE OF FOOTBALL NELOXIA

Cromwell City was like their rivals last year. Having never seen the League in their history, the three-time NPD runner ups who claimed the UEFA Europa League in 2028.

Still to get back towards glory, they needed to do their work in the League and work they did en route to the league championship. Five Cities didn't want to be overshadowed by the team sharing their stadium and managed to win promotion to the NPD for the sixth time in their history and for the first time in nine years.

On the other end of the spectrum, Upton Park spent the first decade in the league as one of the standard bearers of what Neloxian football was all about. They have two NPD titles in their history ('11, '16) and were the first Neloxian team to win the Europa League ('13) and European Super Cup ('13) and now they're headed to the NFC for the first time ever after a woeful showing at the League level this season, a year after finishing 4th in the League.

Ferryhaven A.C. are a yo-yo club who have never been to the Premier division before and head back to the Conference, a year after winning it outright to earn promotion.

Marine Town were an upstart club in the early years of the league, finishing 3rd in the NPD in back to back years ('13, '14) but haven't seen the top level since the '22 season. The light will be dimmer now from the doldrums of the NFC.

SC Alemannia are a yo-yo club who have also never reached the highest level before, their best League finish was a 3rd place finish last year (2030) but they'll have to work their way up again from the NFC where they've won outright twice in their history ('15, '26).

And so you're wondering about the NFC, yes?

Well, here are the standings:

Black Tambourine claim their first outright NFC title since 2027, this time doing it by only one point. How'd we do it? Going 10-0-1 in our last 11 games including the victory that could have claimed the title, beating Cerise 1-0 on July 12th, the last time we played them this year.

Cerise you already know and they finished second and head back to the League after only a year away. Triesenberg head to the League for only the second time in their history. You might recall they are the team that owned Stade Triesenberg Media that we played in up until this season. Inlet Athletic are going back up the elevator for the first time since the '26 season. They were the runner up for the FA Vase back in '25.

I'll recap the past season's top players and prep for next season here in a bit. I've made changes to all of the names using the nickname feature in-game because seriously every player being named "Hansen or some form of Johansen" or something else Scandinavian was beginning to drive me insane as I couldn't tell them apart.

So I'm going to fix the names and then we'll dive into something that hopefully impacts the immersion factor more positively than just the team names. If you'd like me to rename a player for you, let me know and I'll make that happen. Or if you want your own newgen/regen...same and we can follow their progress.

I've mentioned before that the game has had teams build their own stadiums since we got started. One of those teams is Orion Protectorate or known by fans as Orion. In any case, because the land area has grown a lot since I first started building the country, I decided to move some cities around.

So first, I moved the cities around Marisa the capital. East, West and North Marisa will all be in different places now than where they were originally and Marisa is just the entire half of the capital island except for Upton Park, which remains where it was.

The first place I worked on was the city of East Marisa which coupled with the anchor cities that surround it make up a regional area of about 210,000 people or so.

When Orion built their own stadium, they went looking for someplace that would give them the most room to grow and so, they built their new park NAF Orion Stadium in East Marisa. Here are some pics.

Pic 1

Pic 2
The country is over 900,000 people now and growing as I continue to build out cities, which is a lot of fun seeing it grow from where it started. I'll keep updating the screenshot in the first post as I build so you can see the country as it grows.

To explain the commute from Marisa to (new) East Marisa, it'd be about driving from Los Angeles to Irvine. The reason I used California as a measure versus New York, is because I just haven't paid attention to the mass transit aspect of things as I have in the past. So there's the Trans-Neloxia Highway (Nicknamed "The H") but the mass transit options are limited to local and regional buses at the moment and a bit of rail in the far out cities, until I can start building an inter-city subway system.

That said, Black Tambourine announced it's decision to move to Orion Stadium next season, after spending the past year groundsharing in Enclave. The reason we've drawn woefully for so long owes largely to the fact that the team has no real fanbase. Black Tambourine was a space team, never considered to be a team that anyone ever thought would rise through the ranks and so, they have a loyal but dedicated base of fans, as well as some bandwagon fans they've acquired over the years due to their success.

One thing that's made the team especially popular in recent years is their beer. That's right, while most teams are famous for players or whatever, the most famous thing that Black Tambourine has is it's beer. The team partnered with a Neloxian brewer last year to come up with a stunt beer, marketed only at their stadium when they played games at Triesenberg. When they moved to Enclave, it proved so popular they had to keep it on tap for Enclave games. Better yet, when the folks in nearby Swenton heard about it, they started demanding Black Tambourine beer at their games and now every team in the NPD serves it on tap at their stadium.

It's made the team a ton of money of late, making shareholders ecstatic, but also giving the team a national name despite it's relative size. This whole revelation only happened at the end of last year and so, it didn't result in fans coming to a lot of NFC games, but they anticipate it'll boost the gates at their League games and gives them hope that if they can ever rise to the ranks of the Premiership that'll give the team what it's never had before -- a real true football identity buoyed by a fan base of devotees who know and love it.

The idea with the move to East Marisa is borne out of this desire. The notion is that Black Tambourine can eventually move itself to the area where I haven't built yet and anchor that part of the country if it ever becomes a NPD fixture squad.

That's the vision for the Black Tambourine going forward. Are you in?

ENCLAVE PULLS THE TRIPLE
They came in second in the NPD this year, but Enclave won the UEFA Champions League, won the UEFA Super Cup and then claimed the FIFA Club World Championship in 2031.

In a fit of hilarity, we faced our parent club in the semifinals of the 2032 Neloxian FA Cup.

We also lost in the Quarterfinals of the FA Vase this season.

I simmed a season, mostly because I wanted to see how it'd go and felt I'd made enough moves the first year to get the club okay for the League level.

Before I get to the League season, here's the 2032 Season in Review throughout football:

UEFA Champions League: Shipwreck def. Enclave
UEFA Europa League: Inter (Italy) def. Wheatbridge United
UEFA Super Cup: Inter def. Shipwreck
FA Cup: Five Cities def. Enclave
FA Vase: Inlet Athletic def. Wheatbridge United

2032 NELOXIAN PREMIER DIVISION FINAL STANDINGS
Swenton Town take the cake en route to their second straight NPD title. Neloxian football, say hello to your new juggernaut. Hellsbath United registers their highest NPD finish in club history, their previous high was 3rd back in 2011. On the flipside, County City will be headed back to the League level after two years -- their first two in club history -- in the top division. Meanwhile, a very strange fate for the defending Champions League winners in Shipwreck whose extracurricular activities might have impacted their ability to stay up. They head down for only the third time in their history.

2032 NELOXIAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE STANDINGS
Three of the teams that were relegated to the NFC last year are indeed headed back up to the top again, led by Upton Park a previous regular at the top division who have decided to right the ship and take another step towards their former glory. Alemannia and Ferryhaven are elevator clubs we've profiled previously. Rogues are a Malbonian club who head back to the League level for the first time since the 2028 season for their 11th LFN year. They've never played at the Premier level in their history.

So who are the missing pieces? What teams from the League are headed down and which ones are headed up? We'll find out soon...

WE ARE GOING UP!!!!! For the first time ever, Black Tambourine is headed to the Premier Division!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cerise won the League outright, eclipsing us a year after we did the same thing to them. They're making their first appearance in the top league in a decade, a long suffering decade for their fans of the team in the nation's largest stadium, Sansboro Banc Park

Aiden Christensen was the fans choice for MVP this past year.

BLACK TAMBOURINE TO MERGE WITH RED BULL

Black Tambourine, the largest brewing company in Neloxia has agreed to merge with energy drink maker Red Bull. Black Tambourine is also the largest soft drink company in Neloxia through it's subsidiary Yooma.

After acquiring the Japanese brewer and soft drink company Asahi Breweries, the company sought to expand its reach beyond Asia and Europe with an expansive growth and found a willing partner in Red Bull.

As such, Black Tambourine who have risen through acquisitions to become the #6 brewer in the world have increased their global holdings significantly since the company was founded just eight years ago. "We're proud of what we've accomplished, but we have more work to do," said Black Tambourine CEO and Chairman D. Chris Joyner.

The company has finally received regulatory approval to enter its most coveted market of all -- the United States. For years they were blocked by efforts from InBev and MolsonCoors, while it has always been available in Canada, Americans could never get their hands on a geniune Black Tambourine unless it was brought in from across the border. But starting next year, it will be the case for all of them, boosting company revenues into the range of $10-15 billion U.S.

SEASIDE SHORES

This was Neloxia's first amusement park. It's not as cool as some of the more advanced parks out there these days, but it's still a place families enjoy, as it's on the water and near a casino. The town itself is very small -- less than 3,000 people -- but it swells to over 10,000 in the summer.

No, this isn't about FM, but it's eye candy nonetheless. Wait until you see the bigger and better ones though.

Time for another city relocation. Alzate was always imagined in my head to be a bulwark of a city itself. It wasn't just a shadow in Marisa's eye, it was a formidable place all its own. To that end, I moved it quite a ways away, mostly because of the growth I've been doing, it was just pushed out and I decided to make it a city in a mountain valley.

To give a sense of how far it is, it's probably about a two hour drive on the highway. Maybe longer, I haven't really tested it out yet to see, but the advantage is there's nothing else in that part of the country, but by all accounts it's damn far. There's an airport now too, though it's in the suburbs, not in Alzate proper. There's no airport here, so you can't fly in (and I'm not entirely sure I'm going to build one), the subway that I've begun constructing for the entire country (after riding on the T during a few days back in Boston I was thinking again about mass transit for a country that desperately needs it) doesn't reach here yet and so, you'd have to drive and I suspect it'd take you several hours to do so since the direct routes simply haven't been created yet. (The fastest would be the Trans-Neloxia Highway, but I haven't built the link that would get you to Alzate yet)

Here's a map that shows the western half of the country and the route of the Trans-Neloxia Highway (or just "The H") from Marisa, the capital, to Alzate in western Neloxia.

So you get the point. Alzate is a big city, but it's essentially inculcated from the rest of the country. Fun, right? It's essentially our version of Denver to compare it to a U.S. city and despite living there I never tried to pattern it after it at all when I was building, but that's it's parallel/sister city.

Here are some impressive screenshots of what is right now my favorite city in all of Neloxia because of how I built it.

Here is new Rodajo Alzate Stadium replacing the original Alzate Stadium.

Here's a nighttime flyover of the city. Home to about 130,000 people...it's tucked away behind a mountain so you wouldn't see it driving and then all of a sudden once you make it over the highway to the other side of the mountain "wham" there it is. Farmland is on the other side, with redwood trees dotting the top of it, providing some of Neloxia's best camping and hunting.

It's indeed a western city (and aye, western in Neloxian location too) and carries that ethos. So maybe it's more like Calgary?

North Alzate is an industrial city to the north and isn't included in the city limits at all and boasts a population over 88,000

If you check out the first post, you'd be able to identify on the map where Alzate is, because it's in the western part of the country. Just look for the trees and you'll see how it blends in.

With Neloxia resembling a very different country than the one I began this dynasty with, I feel the story lacks coherence. It might not matter, but I feel like it was a good introduction to Neloxia, that you all know it now and so, I'll be able to restart the dynasty in a new thread with the cities in their current places, etc., and it'll make it work better. It looks like Northern Ireland will be the base league for our new dynasty, which ironically is one place worse in the UEFA coefficients in Europe, but the main thing is no more language issues that have been annoying me with Faroe.

Because between the changes to the country and the Scandinavian names I have to alter to make the game work better, I think it'd be good to start again and execute the vision even better. The Premier League is likely to expand by at least two teams, with all of the growth in the country there will be more lower level teams and the two teams from Malbonia are going to move to Neloxia full-time because it screws with things to have a small island nation dominating like we're supposed to be. With the Northern Irish teams coming into the league, we'll probably expand leagues and add another division too.

But at least now I have a favorite squad, you'll be able to get immersed in the other teams -- at least, I have now -- and we have a foundation from which to work with. So stay tuned.

I'm going to flesh out what I'm doing here because I can, because I want to and well...it might be interesting to someone out there someplace.

We inherited a lot of teams from Northern Ireland. Unlike in my past takeovers, I didn't delete all of the non-Neloxia teams from the country. I dunno why, I just didn't. Northern Ireland is about the size of Neloxia as I've developed the map right now, which is cool in a sense except we're obviously intentionally richer.

But I digress.

The new setup is something like this:

There are now ten divisions in the entire Neloxian football pyramid. Some are familiar, a few others are new, but the bottom line is..the only ones that really matter to us outside of the Neloxian FA Cup are the first four. Right now, none of the Northern Ireland teams (save for those that I took away that didn't have logos) are involved anywhere in the top four divisions of Neloxian football.

And they can't be promoted into it either on purpose. Right now, the teams at the 5th division down to the 10th can move up and down. For teams at the Premier level, the lowest can go down is 4th. I don't want a lot of Northern Irish clubs infecting my league, but at the same time it'd be sort of cool to see if you could take a club from the 10th all the way to the top.

So I'm looking for feedback, if anyone wants to give it. Any thoughts? Do we think lots of Northern Ireland teams would eventually infect my league and the storyline? Should I just adopt them anyway and deal with it? I'm sort of torn now as I prepare.

Ok, as I mentioned in the previous post we now have teneleven divisions in Neloxia. In my new dynasty, I'm only going to actually play out the top eight leagues, because I decided to move the bulk of the former Northern Ireland clubs to the 9th, 10th and 11th divisions where they can't get promoted up any higher than 8th. I debated it, but ultimately I decided that it'd be too weird to try to integrate those teams into my country in a way that makes sense to me. I can ignore their cities, which is why I didn't delete any.

In any case, here's the breakdown:

Premier Division (12 teams): I expanded the NPD by two more teams. Bottom three get relegated. One change from before is now there is a playoff in the Premier Division. The top four teams play in a Championship Semi-Final (1 v 4, 2 v 3) with the winner advancing to the Finals and then the winner being crowned League Champion. I figured it was a way to spice things up a bit and keep them interesting, because just having one team winning it all and that's it is fun but wasn't compelling to me on the whole.

League of Football (10 teams): Expanded The League by two teams. One team gets relegated, down from the massive four from the past. I just decided it was too much of a crapshoot and wanted to provide a bit more stability.

Football Conference (10 teams): The NFC expanded to 10 teams too from eight teams. I just felt it was too small. One team gets relegated from here. To where, you ask?

I've created a new system called the Alliance System to go under the traditional three tiers we've been using. Here's how they work:

Alliance Championship (14 teams): I took a bunch of Northern Ireland teams without logos and integrated them into Neloxia with new names. A few are just created from scratch, but it doesn't matter. The highest level of the Alliance system, the top team gets promoted to the Conference and the bottom team relegated a level.

Alliance Tier One (12 teams): The fifth division is the second tier of the Neloxian Football Alliance system. The bottom four teams in this league get relegated while the top team gets a shot at glory in the NFA Championship.

Alliance Tier Two (12 teams): The top four teams get promoted from Tier two, while the worst two get relegated down.

Alliance Tier Three (17 teams): The two two teams go up, the worst team gets relegated to the lowest level it can go in the alliance system.

Alliance Tier Four (20 teams): The lowest level of the Alliance system is here. The champion of this league gets a chance to try its luck up the Alliance ladder. It'd take you seven years of titles without losing to make it all the way up. Needless to say, I have no idea if that'd ever happen but it'll be fun to watch and see if it can.

Below the Alliance level, we have the Regional level. The Regional level is a three-tier system that effectively operates outside of the Alliance system:

Neloxia Regional Premiership (16 teams): The highest level for regional teams to compete at. Almost all are semi-pro or amateur clubs at this level to begin with.
Neloxia Regional Football League (12 teams): The top two teams from the RFL make it to the RFP at the end of 33-game season.
Neloxia Regional Football Conference (10 teams): The lowest level of professional football in Neloxia. Teams below this level play are sanctioned by the Neloxian Amateur Association. We only see them during the FA Cup and a few other special events, which I'll get to next.

The Cups break down like this:

Neloxian FA Cup: I'm loathe to admit this, but I honestly had no idea that so many teams competed in the English FA Cup. Or at least, I never processed the sheer number of how many compete. One of the nice things Northern Ireland did for us was give us a lot more teams to work with, coupled with the ones I already had. So in a sense, there's no other way I could've done this because I'd have been daunted trying it from the start but doing instead over the past few weeks in the form of a start/restart dynasty has made it more managable.

Anyway, the Neloxian FA Cup has 235 teams. Every team in every division -- even the 90 clubs from the Amateur Association -- are involved in this event. It's so bad ass I can hardly contain myself.

Neloxian FA Prize: This is a new event I created for the top three leagues only. So all the teams from the Division, League and NFC get to participate (32 teams total). It's not nearly as prestigious as the FA Cup, but it's a nice consolation prize that effectively says "we're not in the lower tiers" tournament.

Neloxian FA Bowl: The FA Bowl pits all of the regional teams against each other similar to the Alliance Cup.

Neloxian Alliance Cup: This 75-team tournament takes the teams from the five Alliance tiers and pits them all for a huge payday. It's also a big deal and bettors happen to love this tournament for some strange reason, because around Alliance Cup time fans start checking out these games of the teams more to make fast money.

Settlers Cup: It pits the winner of the FA Bowl against the winner of the Alliance Cup in a two-stage event. That's it. Who wins isn't even that important, as much as being there. The bragging rights are nice for the Regional clubs, as this is pretty much their Super Bowl and Champions League into one.

Grand Final: The winner of the Regional Premiership plays the winner of the Neloxia Premiership playoff for ultimate bragging rights.

Shield of Neloxia The winner of the Regional League gets pitted against the winner of the 2nd division Football League of Neloxia.

Palm of Neloxia The 3rd division NFC winner plays the champ of the 11th division RFC.
