Draft pick order glitch that needs to be fixed

In one MP league that I'm in I went 11-5 last season but missed the playoffs due to tie-breakers (although there were 5 teams with worse records that did make the playoffs - think the RL 2008 Patriots).

Anyway, I figured the silver lining would be I'd get to pick 20th in the following draft, as I was under the impression that the 12 playoff teams had the last 12 picks in each round.

Wrong. I'm picking 24th in round 1 and 28th in round 2 - right after the team that lost the AFCCG! In fact, the team that lost the AFCCG are picking directly ahead of me in 5 of the 7 rounds! They went 11-5 too ftw.

Has this ever been addressed by Jim or the guys at Solecismic? Seems like a pretty basic glitch that could/should be sorted out fairly easily.

This rule is new and is not reflected in FOF2007

FWIW, I don't think this is a glitch. NFL drafting rules ranked teams by winning pct., regardless of playoff positioning, until 2009. The 8-8 Chargers picking 16th in the 2009 draft was the impetus for that change.

I don't think the developer has changed the Draft Order code to mirror this NFL change.

Fair enough I suppose, didn't realise the NFL only changed the rule recently.

This actually comes full circle, cause originally in FOF2004, it mirrored the current draft order rules and had to be changed to reflect the ones that were correct at the time.

(yeah, I picked like 26th with a 7-8-1 playoff team)

i'm sure he'll fix this right after adding in the new rule for pushing unused cap space forward into the next season!
