2013 Season
FB Richard Weigle takes that anger he felt last season into the gym with him. What happens is a huge jump. He is now 37/37 (his potential fell due to a new scout, unfortunately). He is most likely going to be a starter. He is still highly upset about his playing time from last year, so this will be watched throughout the season. There are a TON of potential Whitney Young Dolphins to be chosen from this year. T Percy Ingram (43/100) is ranked 880th in the nation and 83rd ranked Tackle. He is also ranked as the 38th highest player in Illinois and the 3rd ranked Tackle in the state as well. This kid is big (6’6” 294lbs), smart (3.98 GPA 1396 SAT) and has a good attitude. Most likely ISC bound. T Donny Sutter (41/100) is ranked as the 95th player in Illinois and the 7th ranked Tackle. Very smart (3.70/1302) and a good attitude. He should be offered, but probably late in the season. P Brett Fishkin (26/100) 9th ranked punter in Illinois…….nope. P Wes Doe (2/100) 15th ranked punter in Illinois……..next. DE Quinn Franklin (10/100) 10th ranked Defensive End in Illinois……done. DT Emmitt Abrams (35/100) 15th ranked Defensive Tackle in Illinois…..geesh, the DT pool in Illinois must be deep if a 35/100 is ranked 15th. CB Pat Sabo (21/100) 8th ranked Cornerback in Illinois….possible. Will watch. |

Week 1:
FB Richard Weigle got the most extensive playing time of his college career today. He was in for 18 plays (11r, 7p). You have to crawl before you walk, so this is good. He even caught a pass! Last edited by Dolemite73 : 01-22-2011 at 12:06 AM. |

As you can see, the Rockford Regents are now nationally ranked! This is an amazing achievement considering their fortunes the last couple of years. Hopefully they can keep this up. FB Richard Weigle finally scores his first collegiate touchdown on a nice screen pass! He played 11 run plays (missing a key block) as well. T Percy Ingram – Millikin University has sent him an offer. That was quick. T Donny Sutter – Northwestern University has offered him a scholarship. No game this week. Rockford gets to celebrate their new ranking. T Percy Ingram – Now he has offers from Arkansas and Augustana. Millikin now have stiff competition with Arkansas. I say the Razorbacks are in the lead as of now. T Donny Sutter – Florida steps up with a walk on offer. This is Northwestern’s game to lose IMO. No game this week either. Hope Rockford can keep their edge. FB Richard Weigle's unhappiness has spread to his teammates. They freaking HATE him. I am thinking this situation may not turn out well. T Percy Ingram – Rockford has now offered. Four team race between them, Arkansas, Augustana and Millikin. T Donny Sutter – Georgia and Florida have both contacted him. Northwestern still leading. Though they fell out of the Top 25, Rockford continues their winning ways. That is 5 games won in a row including last year. FB Richard Weigle did not notch a run or a catch, but he did get a key run block. T Percy Ingram – He is currently visiting Augustana. We may have a new leader. Arkansas, Millikin and Rockford wait patiently. T Donny Sutter – No change. Northwestern is still offering while Georgia and Florida have both contacted him. Rockford jumped out to a 28-3 halftime lead and never looked back. FB Richard Weigle got more playing time but had little impact (17 run, 5 pass). T Percy Ingram – Add Benedictine College to the party with an offer. Northern Illinois contacts him. He is still visiting Augustana. Benedictine may be the leader now. T Donny Sutter – No change. On regional TV, Rockford is blanked by the (surprisingly) unranked Elmhurst team. FB Richard Weigle played very sparingly (5 run plays). T Percy Ingram – Has pared down his list and is visiting the following schools: Benedictine, Arkansas, Augustana, Millikin and Rockford. Benedictine is the favorite here. T Donny Sutter – He is now visiting Northwestern. No offers from Georgia or Florida as of yet. Tough defensive struggle. With one more win, Rockford becomes bowl eligible. FB Richard Weigle was mildly effective this game. He got a catch and was 1/1 on key run blocks. He is still perpetually unhappy with his playing time and his teammates hate his guts. Not a good nurturing environment if you ask me. T Percy Ingram – Augustana decides to take their ball and go home by pulling their offer. Arkansas, Millikin, Rockford and Benedictine still in the running. T Donny Sutter – Nevada jumps into the game with an offer. He immediately visits them. Northwestern is still in the lead IMO, but he better make a decision. No offers from Georgia or Florida as of yet. P Brett Fishkin – No contact P Wes Doe – No contact DE Quinn Franklin – No contact DT Emmitt Abrams – No contact CB Pat Sabo – No contact |

Week 10:
#6 New Mexico defeats Rockford. New Mexico had a 20-3 lead at halftime, but in the 3rd quarter, Rockford storms back to reduce the lead to 20-13. New Mexico’s superior talent took hold in the midway through the 4th quarter by scoring 10 points the rest of the way. Game over. FB Richard Weigle played 10 plays (7p, 3r) and did not accomplish much. We have our first decision. T Percy Ingram decides he will attend BENEDICTINE EAGLES!!!!! This was a pretty obvious decision considering his need for good academics and his desire to stay close to Chicago. He could come in and start quickly next year due to the lack of talent at the T position. T Donny Sutter – Maryland contacts him. Georgia drops out. Rockford is now bowl eligible. I predict they will be going to a bowl game, which will be their 1st bowl game ever if chosen. FB Richard Weigle played extensively (25r, 11p) but did not notch any stats. His most playing time of his career so far. T Donny Sutter – Northwestern gets tired of waiting, so they pull their offer. I wonder what exactly this kid was waiting for? Nevada is the lead dog now as they are the only offer left, besides walk-on offers (Maryland and Florida). He needs to hurry. Huge upset. Benedictine was 0-9 and they thoroughly dominate Rockford for their first win of the season. FB Richard Weigle only played 11 plays (6r, 5p). He is also disgruntled about his playing time. Something has to give. T Donny Sutter – Wow. This kid’s horrible lack of decision making has caused Nevada to pull their offer and Florida to drop contact. This kid must live a pretty charmed life because, BYU has contacted him and Maryland has offered him a scholie. Additionally, Kent State and North Central have offered him as well. He is currently visiting Maryland, Kent State and North Central. North Central is the odd-on favorite to get his commitment. Crazy recruitment! Bad loss on regional TV for Rockford. I doubt they get picked for a bowl, even with their 6-5 record. FB Richard Weigle only played 11 plays (8r, 3p), but he does get his first carry of his career. Nice gain too. Bad year for Weigle though. He is pissed off at the team and they hate him. I am not sure he returns. T Donny Sutter – Kent State and Maryland drop their offers. Rockford’s season is done. FB Richard Weigle is honored at the 1st Team ISC All-Academic FB!! Congrats to him. T Donny Sutter - Well North Central drops their offer. BYU and Southern Mississippi drop contact. After all of his dithering, could this kid’s football career be done? Has his indecision damaged him permanently? When all hope was lost, Sutter received a phone call out of the blue. The voice on the other end of the line tells him they have one scholarship left and could really use his services down the line. Amazing! After talking to this coach and hearing the things he needed to hear, Sutter makes his decision, without visiting the school. He will be attending: WISCONSIN BADGERS!!!!!!!!!!!! What a ride! Not only is T Donny Sutter the first Whitney Young Dolphin to go to a power conference, he was not even as talented as his teammate T Percy Ingram! This was the best recruitment I have experienced hands down. I doubt he gets much run there early in his career, but he could develop down the road into a back up. None of our other kids are contacted. I will check if they walk on anywhere next year. Tennessee defeats San Diego State 28-3 to win their third BCS title. 2014 Season
FB Richard Weigle really slacked off this offseason. Instead of using his anger at the team in a positive light, he didn’t work hard and only improved to 39/39. Additionally, one of the underclassmen out worked him and now Wiegle will be the 2nd string FB. Though he is a redshirt Junior, I fully expect for him to leave school after this year. T Percy Ingram will be redshirted by Benedictine. He is presently rated at 2/54. He is raw, but has some upside. T Donny Sutter will be redshirted by Wisconsin as well. He is rated at 14/21. Looks like a career backup as of now. Whitney Young has a couple of borderline prospects this year: RB Justin Whitley (5/100)- Will not be pursued……. P Bennie Petersen (53/100) – He is the 62nd ranked punter in the nation. 90th ranked player and 5th ranked punter in Illinois as well. Very smart (3.93 GPA 1530 SAT) and has a terrific attitude. Will possibly get some strong walk-on offers. DT Casey Spencer (41/100) – He is the 99th ranked player in Illinois and the 12th ranked DT. Will be watching him and he could get a few walk-on offers. |

In his press conference, DT Casey Spencer stated, “I just needed to go to a place I was comfortable with. I did not need to take a lot of time to decide. I look forward to help my new team in the future.” There are a bunch of graduating seniors at Nevada this year, so he could compete for a backup position next year. P Bennie Petersen – He is currently visiting Akron and Arizona State. Akron has the lead for his services as of now. BYU has dropped out and Hawaii has contacted him. Benedictine has not offered. |

HAWAII WARRIORS!!!! At his press conference, P Bennie Petersen said, “Hawaii initially wanted me to walk on. During our conversations, I was able to convince them that my goal was to be the best scholar-athlete the likes they have never seen. They believed me and sent me an offer. It was an easy decision after that. Going to Hawaii should be a blast!” I doubt he will play much in the first couple of years. |

2015 Season
FB Richard Weigle used his rage to really improve and surprisingly, decided to stay for a 5th year. I guess he decided he would show all of the haters on the team exactly what he can do. He is now sitting on a 47/74 rating. Though he will still be the the 2nd string FB, he should get a little more playing thime this year. T Percy Ingram really screwed the pooch during his redshirt season and the offseason. He is currently the 6th string OT and rates as 0/26. Pathetic. I am sure he will never see the field at this rate. T Donny Sutter worked very hard this season and has a 25/67 rating. He is currently the 3rd string OT, and is fast tracked to start next year if he continues to improve. P Bennie Petersen is current the 2nd rated P on the Hawaii team, but will be redshirted. Has a 32/100 rating and the sky is the limit for him going forward. He will start next year, most likely. DT Casey Spencer currently has a 12/32 rating and will be redshirted as well. There are 9 DT’s on this team, so he has a lot of work to put in in order to make an impact in the future. There are no Whitney Young Dolphins to watch this year, so the college season is the only game in town. |
