I use 4 almost consistently.

I use a 5 man rotation.
I did use a 4 man at some point with mixed success. I found I was fading in the later months with my current staff, so I went back to the 5 man.

+1, really depends on the depth of your starting staff, for me in most cases I'd find it more effective to throw my top guys out there more as they seem to have little drop off, rather than have a mediocre at best guy go out there and get lit up, and just keep an extra arm in the bullpen.

Back with OOTP9, I used to use a 4 man all the time. I find that OOTP 10 punishes you more for this strategy, though, so I only use it when I simply don't have the starters to make a 5 Man work. I also find that the 4 Man taxes my bullpen a lot on top of my starters wearing down.

With the 5 man, I limit the exposure I get with the worse 5th SP by going with Start Highest Rested, usually, unless I have the rare situation like a few years ago where I happened to have five solid SPs with not much variation among them in overall quality. In that case, I went with Strict Order; I think the starters do best on a 5 Man strict if you can manage it.

That is saying something as last years draft I thought was quite deep. Also, how does the draft order work? I thought since I missed the playoffs I'd get the #10 pick and the FOOL Champion would get the last pick.

We stopped that back when we moved to OOTPX. Because of how free agent compensation works, it was pretty impossible to keep doing it that system.

So now we default to the OOTP draft default instead where the draft order is decided by record (MLB style and not NFL style anymore)

I was thinking to myself that there are 6 franchise type players and then a tail off to several pretty darn good players...I don't know if there are enough of those to last until #14 where I am picking though.
