What no thread yet? The first episode was okay. I picked the cowboys to win at the beginning of the episode and it doesn't look good for them. The cheerleaders are bitches (although hot) and the mom and the deaf kid annoy me like they did in their season.

If the cowboys get voted off, I'm pulling for either the Globetrotters or their buds who gave them the phrase.

When I did my student teaching, one of the other teachers was the wife and daughter(n-law)? of one of the pairs. Don't watch the show so I'm not sure which ones they are

Hoping the Globetrotters win this. Not sure that I will care much about any of the other teams. What cemented it was them saying that what was most important was that they guy who had the emergency was going to be okay. All the others who they showed were only talking about how that was going to affect them.

Funny thing (not haha funny) is that when he announced about the two planes I thought it would be amusing to see one of these shows where the plane that was supposed to be the reward for te first team ended up getting delayed and becoming the late plane. Was thinking more of it just being a delay and not a medical emergency.

Funny that they sold this season as it if were teams that made the final three and just missed (teams that just missed winning the million) but many of these teams didn't even make top 5 if I recall correctly.

I thought Brooke and Claire were going to come back for this 2nd chance season?

Those two were very entertaining.

One of them either was pregnant and unable to travel when they filmed this, or just had the baby.

I was a bit disappointed that all the teams were so willing to give up the answer to the code. I know there are some built in alliances already because they've played together before, but it didn't seem like anyone worked to hard to get the answer out of them.

I just saw the premiere. WOohoo. HOoray for second chances. I am so stoked Kent and Vyxen are in it again. Glad they got help. But wow what kinda race is this gonna be if all the teams are going to share information on the puzzles.

Glad Jet and Cord are in last. But if I know hype and build-up from these shows, they'll probably end up in first. :P

Two teams I really wish they'd bring back:
Gary and DAve (Team Itchy and Scratchy) from Season 2 and Colin and Christie from um I forget the season. 3? 4? Those two were monsters at all challenges. And COlin's mouth almost got him sent to African jail

They would have been two good teams to bring back.

Or for the annoyance/entertainment value Jonathon and what ever his wife's name was. If they are even still together (or one of them isn't in jail for killing the other by now).

Ron (the old Asian guy) is pretty annoying. I'd like to see that team lose just because of him. I'm glad the cowboys are still in it. I like them (although I live in Oklahoma).

I'd also like to see Def Leppard go home. The mom is really annoying and they can't do anything on their own ("Want to team up?"). Kent (the goth) surprised when he knew the Periodic Table. Who'da thunk it?

I think it stinks, that uturn thing. They weren't even doing a bad job during the race. It was that flight crap where they let everyone catch up.

Ron was that annoying last time too. Why did they even invite them back? I guess it's BECAUSE they always bicker at each other. There were so many better people to invite back. And wow why did they invite a 70 year old. That is just asking for it. I forsee that guy quitting.

We love the Amazing Race and so we watch, but are just not fans of the all-stars seasons. And apparently we are not alone. I think I read that this last episode was the lowest one ever (including the dreadful family season, if you dare remember that one). We have our favorites (cowboys, Globetrotters), but there are SO many annoying teams it makes me want to scream. I hope this gets turned around quickly before it does lasting damage to the franchise.

That oriental guy cracks me up.
I too was surprised at the penalty. Kinda sucks. We gotta get some fights going on to spice it up.
I'm really torn on who to pull for. I guess the cowboys seem like nice guys.

They should be eliminated from this leg anyway just for the completely horrible play out of an All-Star team. I don't think the others will be penalized-I think they would have shown that when they checked in, but we'll see.

Yeah, that was a major train wreck of a "leg".

Not just for them but for the team that is just barely in front of them too. Though not as bad but to not be that far ahead after what the goths went though has got to be frustrating.

I don't get what the whole "have to play it like poker" thing was about though. What exactly does it gain the other team to know if you got lost or broke down? I would almost rather let them know you get lost so they start to underestimate you from there out.

Well I think it has to do with the penalty the Goths will likely get for not taking the required plane for this leg of the challenge. If they can convince the guys that they had their car breakdown so they won't get a penalty for missing the flight, then it may cause them to mess up thinking they really need to speed up to beat the Goths. Of course its a moot point now really since the leg is continuing. What I don't know though is if they really would have been penalized for having car troubles and missing the flight.

Not sure why they would get a penalty for missing the plane. Isn't missing the plane enough? And the father-daughter whiners BETTER get a penalty for not taking a bus because that's what the clue said to do! If they can bitch about someone stealing their backpack, which ended up being a penalty, they better get one. It's how it worked in previous races when they take the wrong transportation.

Really glad the goths pulled it out. Once they hit the mat, I was pretty sure they were safe. Just running to the mat takes 5 minutes. Takes at least a half hour to drive somewhere.

Great come from behind. And I disagree EF. They made a smart cal who they u-turned. It was a DOUBLE U-turn. Meaning: They get the redheads. And the Redheads are thus forced to U-turn the Globetrotters. They had no idea all the other teams got lost. They thought they were the last 3 teams.

The two biggest bad moves this episode I think:
1) Gary and Mallory using up their "Get out of Challenge Free" card. WAY too early to use that up. Maybe they thought they were in a worse place than they were.

2) Zev and Jeff. Wow they just keep self-destructing at these challenges. I don't know what it is but they just can't do anything mental. I was actually surprised Big Easy did the mental challenges REALLY well today. In his last season, he seemed to epitomize the "big dumb jock". Good for him. Although now we will have to endure their new "Double-U-Turn THIS!" catch phrase for the rest of the race.

I think they used the card at just the right time. They were the last to get there and who know how long it would have taken them. They didn't want to be like someone on Survivor who gets voted out while holding the hidden idol and not playing it.

The goths must go. She is annoying; nagging at him today when he was having trouble after he was relatively supportive when she was practically costing them the race in Japan. He is spineless.

Their penalty should have been much harsher than a half hour. I would aso bet that we missed the edit out of part where someone from the show got their bag for them which they left behind. I would much rather watch the cheerleaders continue in the race; especially if there is going to be more rolling around in mud somewhere.

I was sad to see the lesbian cheerleaders gone, but hey that's the game.

Today was a bad leg for that team. First the dance roadblock for someone that can't dance, then the Brazlian wax and they are the hairiest team left and then they chose the wrong task at the detour (selling bikinis at a beach? how did they think that would be easy? especially since they don't have movie star looks that might at least make a couple ladies say okay just for that alone).

As soon as Zev opened his mouth with the nasally voice, I knew they were screwed. I don't know why that was even a choice. Selling a 100 bikinis on a beach with people that already have bikinis?

Yeah the dancing was painful. They made a bad choice of letting him do that simply to even up the challenge balance... Very bad move.

sad that Justin and Zev didn't win and to go out the way they did-felt so bad for them having to endure that wax-I think that's the first time I've ever seen Justin lose it on the show and man who can blame him? Too bad they chose the bikini task over the drink making, looks like they got quite a few done there before the Globetrotters finished-that might have been an interesting race to the Pit Stop then. And I think Zev had to do that dance road block-like there was a rule that each had to do 5? If so they should have planned it out better so Justin would do the last one given Zev's condition.

Congrats to the sisters for winning-of the three remaining, I hoped they would win-The Globetrotters had some shady play at times-like yelling at Kesha to drop the boat in the finale so glad they didn't win. And Mallory simply has to be on drugs to be that happy all the time. Felt bad for them though that they got the "cab driver from hell" that always seems to pop up in the finale. I'm surprised they didn't try to find another cabbie given the trouble they were having-but kudos to catching up to the other teams at the trailer park though.

Disappointed they had no "Remember things from every leg of the race" challenge like they have had in the past-that was letting them off easy with the last mental challenge being the trailer park one.

Yeah agreed. Don't like the globetrotters. Sometimes they are fun buit other times they are bullies. And Mallory is sooo annoying. Gary and Mallory really should have imploded several legs back. Kudos to them for keeping in it. It didn't seem like there were any other cabs ANYWHERE. Really wanted justin and zev to win it. At least they get a lot of good trips. Oy! He has been cursed with no rhythm.

I do like Kesha and Jen awesome they won. Was really worried the globetrootters would beat them to the finish with their strength. Too bad the globes had to cheat by peaking at kesha and jen's answers.

I have a major issue with that cab driver, not even related to the race. If I get in a cab and ask him to take me somewhere specific in his town/city I expect him to either know where he is going or to call his dispatch to find out how to get there.... Not just f***ing drive around blindly... WTF?
