I'll be in Austin flying in on the 30th and flying out on the 5th for work. Would love to meet up with anyone while I'm there, all my nights are free. I need to hit Black's BBQ in Lockhart again this year and would love to get another BBQ place (besides Salt Lick).

Some recommendations
Live Oak Barbecue on East 2nd St - Just went there for the first time yesterday and was very pleased. Sausage was excellent with great texture. Brisket was only okay, but that's because I prefer leaner cuts and this was pretty moist. One of the guys in my office had the pork steak and raved about it. Lambert's on West 2nd St. - It's a fancy BBQ place, so the prices are much higher than a typical BBQ place, but the food is very good. If you go during dinner time there may be live music. Louie Mueller's in Taylor - Taylor is about a 40 minute drive northeast of Austin (20 mins from Round Rock), but this place is absolutely worth it. Routinely in the Top 5 in the Texas Monthly rankings and, without a doubt, the best sausage I've ever eaten. They also shot a SRV album cover here.
