Didn't Jim Morrison or Jimi Hendrix die in a bathtub after ODing?

I think Jimi died because he choked on his own vomit while passed out from alcohol.

I know Bonham died that way, not sure about Jimi. Regardless, one or the other of Hendrix or Morrison died in a bathtub, IIRC.

Taking a bath after taking one of those drugs is just damn stupid. Pisses me off how stupid it is. That's not one of those silly over the counter crap things. Those are, "Get in bed after you take these. They WILL knock you out". Such a damn stupid waste.

I mean really if you're gonna live the dream why not go out like John Entwhistle and have your heart explode from a doing cocaine naked in a hotel room with a hooker the night before you open a tour. (slight exaggeration but only slight)

I dunno, it was still all the rage on my FB as of last night. Probably Grammy influenced and it should finally cool off now but it's probably not unreasonable for the media to stay with it as long as it's the water cooler topic.

At most it's a head-shaking "that's a shame" thing for me, I wasn't particularly a fan even before she turned into a drugged out husk but apparently the story has struck a chord elsewhere.

As I recall the Jim Morrison movie, I distinctly remember the death scene as him being in the bathtub. I'm not sure if that's reality, though. It was an Oliver Stone movie, after all.

All right, I looked it up. Looks like Morrison did die of a heroin overdose in a bathtub in Paris. Or at least that is the most likely explanation. There seems to be a lot of conspiracy theory around his death, since French law did not call for autopsies when foul play was not suspected.
