Celebrity HoN: WYR March Madness Results Thread! (includes bracket)

The brackets are set for the inaugural Celebrity Hot or Not Would You Rather March Madness or CHONWYRMM (Chon-worm) for short and voting is set to begin within the next 48 hours.

Thirty-three (33) of the top 35 Celebrity Hot or Not vote getters have qualified for the tournament. Melissa Stark and Chrisitina Milian were the lone two to miss the cut due to what is believed to be a lack of name value and the ability to sell tickets.

Thirteen (13) of the fourteen "pending poll" nominees have also qualified for the tournament, with Morena Baccarin being the lone snub.

They will be joined by eighteen (18) at large celebrities as chosen by the selection committee. It appears that the selection committee avoided international modes such as Adrianna Lima, Irina Shayk and Kelly Brook possibly due to concerns over the behaviour of the notoriously rowdy European crowds. Bar Refaeli appears to be the lone exception to this rule as it appears dating an American actor carries more weight than dating a European athlete. That does not mean that there are not any models, as we can already announce that two well known American models (one of whom dates an American athlete) made the cut. They are joined by a mix of actresses and singers as well as a few faces from the MMA world and even a pole vaulter.

The "original 33" have retained their HON ranking order while the selection committee chair has sprinkled in the other 31 seeds throughout the bracket. The committee appeared to focus on ensuring that almost all first round matchups pit a current HON celebrity against a newcomer.

The committee also appeared to not want to rock the boat too much when it comes to the top of the rankings as we can already tell you that Jessica Alba, Kate Beckinsale, Anna Kournikova and Elisha Cuthbert retain the tournament's top four seeds.

There will be no official unveiling of the entire bracket as matchups will be not be announced until they are open for voting, maintaining the suspense. Voters are reminded that this is the 2012 CHONWYRMM and not an all time vote, so it will be interesting to see how this impacts some of the aging starlets.

The 2012 CHONWYRMM will hopefully answer a number of questions. Are Beckinsale, Kournikova, Cuthbert and Alba still the darlings of FOFC? Will a more recent top ranking HON celebrity such as Mila Kunis or Hayden Panettiere knock them off? Could a "pending poll" nominee such as Jessica Biel or Olivia Wilde claim the crown? Or will one of the yet to be announced at large selections run the table and emerge victorious?

These questions and more will be answered shortly so stay tuned to FOFC!

I think as long as they don't spread the votes too much (lots of days between matchups), it could be fun. I think I remember that one just dragging on too long.

When the guy running it is the one who quits, there's really nowhere else to go.

What's wrong with the way we're currently doing this sort of thing?

Nothing like volume amounts of pointy elbow complaints.

Nothing at all. But that's more of an on-going all time thing and takes a bit longer to compile entries.

This format answers both who is the hottest today as well as gives a chance to push a large pool entries into the mix. And because it's March Madness!

I've settled on three days per poll.
