First ever win for Dixieland!!!!!! Shouldn't be any surprise that the first win would come at Bristol either. That kind of driving gets it done!

Ugh...from dominating the first part of the season to absolutely miserable finishes in the chase...we're lucky we still have a shot. Time to buckle down, regain our good form from early in the season, and make a run for the title!

I wish Dexter could have raced better at Bristol. That was the best chance we had.

Race #19 of 20 - Baton Rouge Results
Chris Snow and Nick Phillips were dominant today running 1-2 for the majority of the final two thirds of the Buffalo Wild Wings 500. It was Snow at the end who held off Phillips for the win with fellow Chase driver Helen Wheels finishing 4th setting up a three way battle for the title with Snow, Phillips and Wheels next race. Some others have a very slim mathematically chance yet however. Kerri Kong, Dexter Jackson, Travis Elkin and Ace Idol all crashed out essentially ending their title chances. Cannon always has a good car and qualifies well, 4 poles shows that. But, the car just seems to fade every race. I guess I might have to change something in the stats for next year as he was a Chase contender for most of the year but now has faded all the way to 18th.

One more race remaining, the Ford 400 from Homestead. I am looking to post that tomorrow evening. After that we will post a sign-up thread for Season 2. Five spots are open so we will try to fill those with new drivers. All current drivers will not need to sign up again. Any stat changes that you wish to make will be able to be done during the sign-up period.

If Helen wins, it'll be a testament to consistency. The only notable figures in her stat line are that she's run the most laps of anyone on the circuit, has 0 DNFs... and no wins, a rarity among those in the Chase.

Race #20 of 20 - Ford 400 Results
It was billed as a three driver showdown. Chris Snow, Nick Phillips and Helen Wheels. It started out looking like it would be a great battle all day, until Helen's car had issues that forced her to the pits. She wound up 32nd, 4 laps down. This race was extremely clean, no cautions through out so it came down to who's pit crew would help them out the most. Phillips stayed a little bit a head of Snow all day. Snow kept getting caught up in traffic and could never quite gain enough ground. Phillips came home 3rd, Snow 10th. Just enough for Phillips to overcome the points deficit and take the Season 1 title. Nick Phillips is your FOFC Season 1 Series Champion.
Trick Dickle had by far the dominant car of the day. No one else was even close. He led 214 of 267 laps and was 4.44 seconds ahead of second place. After winning 5 of the first 15 races he struggled to start the Chase and couldn't overcome the consistency from Phillips and Snow. Trick should go into Season 2 as the favorite. |

Here is the new sign-up thread. FOFC Sprint Cup Series Season 2 Sign-ups - 5 Open Spots - Front Office Football Central
Current drivers do not need to sign-up again. You are automatically in for Season 2. If you know of anyone that wants to join direct them over to the sign-up thread. Now is also the time to submit any driver and car stat changes you may want. |

An unlucky last day for Helen. Of course, with 0 DNFs on the year, she was in a Chase-winning position due to consistency more than excellence. How do you tweak a car after a season like that?
Lots more improvement is possible for Rip, who only really got it going in a couple races this season. |

I claim TAMPERING! Phillips stole my new carburetor! Someone inspect his car again, there is obviously something wrong with it!
This needs to be switched to the current NASCAR points system! I demand a RECOUNT! =) Love this game! |

A 5th place for the General Lee is the best ever showing for Dixieland Racing. The Home Depot car took 20th, but that still beats other best showing. Certainly a good season for us. With some upcoming tweaks in the offseason. Look for Dixieland to be right back in the Chase next season!

Well despite making the chase my car was terrible this year. Good on short tracks and road courses but completely terrible on everything else. Stats need to change to have a chance.

Ugh...2 DNFs in the Chase is no way to end an otherwise decent season. Looking at the stats, I really didn't belong in the Chase in the first place, but hey

Phillips Racing brings home the inaugural season Championship. After going through race by race to catch up on the action I didn't think there was a chance this season. Trick Dickle looked dominate early and Chris Snow was around as usual. To have a come back win really shows how good Nick Phillips is. Mustafa Henderson with a very solid 7th place finish only makes Phillips Racing the favorite for years to come.
Trick Dickle and Snow need to step up there game. |

Tricky Dick and the entire Double Tap racing team are sorely disappointed they didn't come away with the title, given their dominance early in the season. But at the same time, spirits are high, as they were clearly the dominant team over the course of the entire season.

Everyone better watch out for Cannon Pace. He may have sucked but at least he was the qualifying champion! 4 poles.
