Rivers Casino - Pittsburgh

Any of you been to Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh? I'm going next Saturday with a few buddies to gamble and watch the final four (hopefully the Buckeyes).

For you that have gone... is there a sports bar inside the casino that would be decent to watch the final 4? Or are there bars outside the casino that may be better viewing. We're staying at the Hyatt - which is walking distance (1/2 mile) to the casino. Any input about the casino, poker, bars, ect will be appreciated

I've never been to it, but the sports bar inside is called The Wheelhouse. I would be shocked if they were not showing the Final 4 games.

I want to say that my brother plays 4/8 limit and has done pretty well. Apparently there are some serious fish on the weekends.

Went there 2 weeks ago... There are plenty of places to watch the games at there. They even have mini-monitors on some of the slot machines.

That will be nice to be able to watch the games inside the casino. I usually play 1/2 (1/3) NL but I know a couple guys I'm going with only play limit in a casino setting. I see they usually have 4-8 limit games going and that will probably be up their ally.

stevew - if/when you ask your brother about the casino could you ask him is he has ever played in any of the tournaments they hold?

Thanks guys for the input.

We made it to the casino by 11:00 AM on Saturday and I played in their $550 deep stack hold'em tournament. Started with 89 people and I was knocked out on a coin flip - 14th place. Caught up with my buddies to watch the second half of the Buckeyes game (very disappointing!) and finished the night off by losing my ass off in 1/3 NL Alcohol and gambling never mixes!!! All in all we had a good time in Pittsburgh. Rivers Casino is in a real neat location - between Heinz and PNC Park. We stayed at the Hyatt which was about a 3/4 mile walk to the Casino.
