I've actually liked all the new episodes with the exception of the Da Vinci one, and that one still had some funny stuff
Spoiler

The 4th season had the best episodes and the writers were in full stride when the show was cancelled. I hope they can get back to that level of quality. In any case, I'm pretty damned thrilled to be getting new Futurama.

Really? I thought that the fourth season was terribly uneven, depending on which numbering system you used (are you counting 4 or 5 seasons- if it's 5, then I would be talking to 5).

I was counting 4 seasons. Volume 4, the last dvd collection before they started making movies:

Quote:
Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch, Leela's Homeworld, Love and Rocket, Less Than Hero, A Taste of Freedom, Bender Should Not Be Allowed on TV, Jurassic Bark, Crimes of the Hot, Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, The Why of Fry, Where No Fan Has Gone Before, The Sting, Bend Her, Obsoletely Fabulous, The Farnsworth Parabox, Three Hundred Big Boys, Spanish Fry, The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings

A couple clunkers but also some of their very best work to date: The Farnsworth Parabox, Three Hundred Big Boys, Where No Fan Has Gone Before, Less Than Hero and The Why of Fry.

I really enjoyed it.

Also I think "The Late Philip J. Fry" was one of the best episodes ever. Just brings the sort of zaniness one expects from a good Futurama episode.

I was JUST about to say that. My favorite so far has been The Late Philip J Fry. Absolutely on par with the other awesome episodes that deal with a good scifi plot. I did like the creationist one for sure. THe other two I've seen a little less. But I did know it would take them a little work to get back into it. THe first DVD (BIg Score) seemed like a "This is our attempt to get back into it so let's recycle every character we've ever used to remind everyone how fuinny it is" before being brilliant with the beast with a billion backs.)

Futurama Writer Invented A New Math Theorem Just To Use In The Show

Thought this was interesting.

The episode itself wasn't too bad, especially the love scene between fry and leela

It's been on a roll lately. The evolution episode, Katz, The Late Philip J. Fry, and the body switching one were all good.

After a longer break, Comedy Central will show an all new Futurama episode called "The Futurama Holiday Spectacular" this Sunday the 21st at 10pm/9c.

Being the 13th new episode of the year, this marks the end of the first half of the newly produced 26 episodes. The remaining ones are due to be shown next summer.

Good news, everyone!

Yeah, but 13 more coming next year. I hope the ratings and dvd sales are good enough to get more made.

Saw part of one. Kinda creepy all those benders
science is creepy.

About this past sesaon I really liked The Late Philip J Fry. Was as good as The Sting and Godfellas I think.

Liked A Clockwork Origin (especially the name!), Lrrreconcilable ndndifferences and kinda liked duhvinci code.

I really liked seeing Zoidberg get a chance to be the hero for once in last night's episode. I dunno if any of these new ones have been classics or anything but its been a fun solid season so far imo.

Couple things:

1) When did they start saying fuck in futurama? Have they ever had anything bleeped until last night? "The name's John. JOHN FUCKING ZOIDBERG" was pure awesome, but really, when did that start?

2) Is it weird to anyone else that most episodes this season have involved someone having to leave the crew "forever"? Amish Fry, Policeman Fry, Ghost Bender, Witness Protection Bender? Obviously I'm not surprised that they return in some fashion by the end of the episode, but its been a weird theme.

Awesome news, everyone!

Futurama's seventh production season will consist of 26 episodes split equally across two broadcast seasons: 7A and 7B. It is scheduled to premiere on Comedy Central on June 20, 2012.

SWEET! Wow they've already got some in the can already! heh.
I think it will continue where it left off with the back 13 most of which were back to its fourth season brilliance.

And John Dimaggio has never been better. He just gets funnier. He's equally awesome on Adventuretime.
