NBA 2k13 vs NBA 2k11 (PC Version)

I know there are probably threads for each of these games I probably should have posted this in, but I'm looking for this specific information. Feel free to move the post to one of these already started topics if necessary, I suppose.

I have a couple long weekends coming up (this and next), and am considering getting 2k13. I really enjoyed 2k11, and was wondering if any of the things I'd have liked to see improved have been, or if any of the things I liked were changed.

I found the game challenging, I had a nice slider system set up and found realistic scores and stats & couldn't win all games. It was fun. Do sliders copy well, or will I have to go through games of experimenting to find my settings again ?

More gameplay. Has it changed much ? Will I pick it up, and pretty much just keep playing, or is there alot that has changed and I'll be re-learning how to play the game ?

My player mode. I thought it was a GREAT idea, and from the limited time I tried it out, I had fun. My problem was that I had NO INTEREST in playing 82 game seasons. I was looking at this mode with a career in mind, and playing 800+ games wasn't appealing to me. I've heard that has changed, and you can play "big games or matchups", but .. if the rest is simmed, will "My Player" perform as I do for him ? Or how his ratings make him perform ?

Historic teams. Loved that aspect, and I have read there are more now (35 I think) (and a couple USA teams). I didn't like that they were all only like 5 deep though. I also loved that I could put the squad in franchise mode, or trade players from them (I made some current/historic squads).

Drills were a little easy. Once I learned them, I never "failed" a drill. Except the rebounding drill, I failed it every time.

*Some* of the game play was too easy. For example, I could pick and roll nearly at will.

I thought it represented NBA play well. For example, sometimes I could lock down and play great D, other times the guy I was guarding couldn't miss if all 5 of us were hanging off his jersey. Same with my player. But most times players seemed to perform fairly close to ratings. And same with teams, sometimes the team was just flat out on a run (both within a game and season).

I'm assuming the 2012 & 2013 rookie crops are included, and rosters are current up to pre-2013 (Is Howard a Laker ?). Or at least the Live Roster on line feature is still available.

I actually found the AI fairly sound. I didn't ever feel like I fleeced a team in a trade, or that a team was starting/playing/signing the wrong people.

Thanks for your time

Sliders are fairly the same.

You can play "key games". If you're a backup, that includes your teams' rivals (2-3 rivals per team). If you're a starter, that is rivals + the top 3 players at the position you play, so about 10-15 games.

All historic teams run about 10-12 deep now.

Drills are about the same, maybe a little tougher. There aren't any cheap moves anymore. For instance, I used to play the passing lanes to get all kinds of steals for myplayer, can't do that anymore.
