I wonder if they have considered it in New Orleans, it might work.

Would not have helped. If the bounty system had been in place, the only difference would have been the 49ers scoring more quickly because the players would have played like last season--flying around like fools looking for impact plays and forgetting to play fundamental defense.

Lance Louis, Bears starting offensive guard is out for the year with a torn ACL thanks to a cheap shot by Jared Allen.

Why'd the Eagles fire Juan Castillo again?

What's this thing that Carolina is doing? They are kicking the ball to the Eagles? I thought drives didn't end until the other team scored...

double dola: why go for two that early in the game? that just says that you don't think you can get in the endzone again.

Cheap shot..I dunno. Louis was looking away while running right at Allen, so Louis didn't see the hit coming sure, I don't think it was dirty. it wasn't like a setup crack back block WR on a LB focusing on a sweeping RB. I don't think this is a reason to vilify Allen or lump him in with Suh as I've seen today.

I feel dumb for watching this game but I'm just wasting time but I gotta comment.

But what a dumb call for PI.

It hasn't been too bad of a game so far, considering it is meaningless.

Come on defense, how do you just let the receiver stand there and get that wide open.

I just hope they don't decide they need to draft Matt Barkley.

It is pretty funny to listen to Gruden try and inject some excitement into this game. The way he is talking about Newton you would think the Panthers ar 8-2 and an unstopable offensive juggernaut.

Yeah, I don't get it. He was making it seem like the Panthers offense was the 1999 Rams or something.

The fact that a kicker needed to hit an XP to ice the game and missed it pretty much sums up these teams right now. I know they want the Andy Reid era to end with class and dignity but at this point, it's just painful. Clearly nobody on that team gives a shit any more.

I needed 29 points out of Cam Newton to win my fantasy matchup. I got 41.

Thanks, Eagles defense!

haha, I was in the same exact spot. Going into Sunday night I needed 46 combined between Bradshaw and Newton and got there easily.

And it was against my wifes 3 up boss, which made it so much sweeter.

Eagles release Jason Babin.

Rumor has it he was so pissed off about being released that he started chasing Reid through the stadium but he couldn't get to him...

Yep, Bowman has just been signed to an extension thru 2018.

That means 3/4 of the 49ers linebacking core (Willis/Brooks/Bownman) is signed thru at least 2017. Scary.
