A Quickfire One N Done - Complete
I wanted to do a quick and dirty One and Done challenge. My normal dynasties are very long and detailed. Instead of that, this is a not that detailed and quick sim. I want to draft, take a few hours blazing through the years, and finish things up with the results. My guess is that it will take between 2-4 hours.
Okay, I’m playing as the Jaguars. They finished 3-13 as did the Browns and they will alternate top picks, with the Jags going first in the 1st round and then 2nd in the next and so forth.

I cut everyone I begin looking at staff I make an offer to a new Head Scout Neither of our Coordinators are under contract, so I look for alternatives I make an offer to retain my old Off Coor. And my Def Coor as well it appears We keep our Coordinators and Head Coach. But we can’t get the scout nor our second or third choice so we keep our guy. Scout – Very Good in QB, Good in D Line, Average in K, RB, LB, DB and Y Talent, Fair in O Line and WR Head Coach – Good, Average, Excellent, Excellent, Average – in that order Off Coord – All good inc y talent save Average in WR Def Coord – All good save very good in DB Here we go, free agency has officially begun!

Trade time
1st /1 to Redskins for 1st/4, 1st next year, and 4th, 5th and 6th this year Then I turn the Washington pick next year into the Texans 16th overall pick this year and their 7th round too. I have changed my 1/1 pick into the 1/4, 1/16 and 4th-7th rounders. I look at the draft and there are two solid QB prospects. Before when I played this challenge, I slid back out of the top 5 and ended up with a weaker QB. I’m going to stay here this time. Time to trade some future picks I’ll skip all of the trades. Here is my list of trades post trading: 1/4, 1/6, 1/16 2/2 3/1, 3/5 3 picks in 4th round 3 picks in 5th round 3 picks in 6th round 5 picks in 7th round That’s 20 total picks right now Can I afford to trade down for more picks? What can I get for the 1/6? Let’s stay with it for now, and then if I want to move in the draft, I have the ammo to, once I see what players are going where

Time for Interviews:
I interview the top five QBs. I also do the same for some stud players at the top of the charts. It’s a weak draft for RB, but we have a strong TE named TJ McNeil and a strong 2nd place for Jamie Lofton. There are some good WR as well. I go deep in a lot of places. And finish this up. Let’s move through Free Agency

Draft Time!!!
Here are the first picks – 1 – QB Arnold Fox 2 – QB Wesley Blades 3 – ILB Mitchell McCarter Well, there went my two QBs. What horses are on the board – OT Jeff Jarvis, CB Craig Hines, and a few others. Jarvis came back as very overrated. Hines came back as underrated. Other good choices involve a pair of DE and a OG plus WR Howie Gibson. I can trade my 1/4 to Denver for their 1/8 and their 3rd, 4th 5th and 6th round selections - hopefully I can get Hines, Jarvis, or others without any issue. But while I’m okay missing Jarvis, I do want Hines. I want to walk out of the first round with Hines, Gibson, and either DE Chellgren or Lawrence. Meh, let’s just take Hines now. CB Daryl Sutton goes off the board too, and I have no doubt that Hines would have been gone. Now I want to drop back a bit. I trade my 1/6 to Buffalo for their 1/9 and I get their 3rd and 7th this year A weak QB leaves the board (all that are left are weak), as well as TE McNeil and the 3rd CB. Well done. I can take WR Gibson or DE Chellgren. Both are very strong. Both are the best at their position. I slip Chellgren. After my pick, OT Jarvis, a good OG Fonoti are off. Also gone are the only good S and a bunch of chaff. I take WR Gibson at the 16 spot.

By the end of the 1st, two more QBs have gone. We also saw a few good players in other positions leave. Here is the talent I like heading into the 2nd round
TE Jamie Lofton RT Max Maslowski And that’s about it. What does the QB situation look like? I suspect I’ll shotgun at least two Qbs and hope one works. There are a few good guys I could take with a good accuracy. I really like Lofton. He’s very talented. He did not work out at the Combine though, so is he a guy I can wait on for a bit? I just have one pick in the 2nd round, and I cannot afford to wait to take a potential hoss like this, so I grab TE Lofton.

No QB goes in the 2nd round. That’s nice.
I have three picks early in the 3rd. Who do I like? There are some Safeties on the board that intrigue me. I like a RB three down in the depth chart that’s very underrated. His name is Henry Pedroza. SE Trent Madison or Deron Stone might be nice. I take in this round RB Pedroza, QB Antoine Clark and FS Nick Bone 4th round arrives Who do I take now? OT Kenneth Hancock, OG BJ Jennings, and WR Deron Stone 5th round! I select – WLB Donny Hutton, QB Wally Strong, DT Rickey Gunn 6th Round – MLB Dean Kochansky, OG Courtney Swaine, DE Justin Cunningham, 7th – The final injection of talent C Eugene Tucker, SLB Gilbert Miller, CB Tim Shanahan, OT Norm Buckley, TE Julio McCallum, RB Darnell Carroll

Let’s look at my best new playaz!
TE Jamie Lofton, 55/87 RDE Bill Chellgren, 40/79 RCB Craig Hines, 72/79 FL Howie Gibson, 47/70 So no busts with my first two rounds of picks. Good stuff. Deron Stone busted hard to 25/45

I begin to cut chaff
These four top rookies all appear on the Green page. Only Sam Bradford ranks higher than Hines and Chellgren. As an FYI a certain volatile OT taken early busted, but our gem I wanted, Max, is the best OT coming out of training camp. One QB, Fox looks really nice. The others taken in round 1 all suck. Okay, we have our roster. Here’s the big question. Which QB is my guy? Strong vs Clark The best five potentials for Strong are 74 in accuracy, 69 medium passes, 62 screen passes, 52 3rd down and 46 in long. Clarks best five pots – 78 accuracy, 68 3rd down, 66 read defense, 66 deep pass, 61 long pass. Worst three for each – Strong – 1 read defense, 10 deep, 25 timing; Clark – 18 2 minute offense, 22 timing, 25 medium I’m going with Clark, despite advice to the contrary. Even busted Deron Stone is still my best choice to start. Sad to say that.

Oh well, I'll come back to it later
What will happen? Expect some quicker sim style stuff It’s 0-4 for the preseason. I’ll skip the season results, we finished 0-16. This was not a good season, and we’ll need to improve We had some really bad stats. We had just four picks, and we were anemic in every area. We’ll try the other QB this year.

We hit 1-3 in the pre-season
Here’s year 2 (Assuming I can get the code to work this time...) Code:
4-12 is certainly improvement.

Stat time Once again, very lousy years for most of my folks. Here are the highlights – DE Chellgren with 6.5 sacks, CB Hines with 5 picks, Both QBs have been viciously bad.

Next off season
I rehire my head coach I renegotiate some deals. Well, a lot of players are fully or mostly red. We are now at training camp for year 3 and I hope to see continued development in the w/l column. Perhaps 6-10 or 8-8. Post camp, Jamie Lofton has broke out to 91/91. Nasty.

We go 2-2 in the preseason
In our week 6 game against the Colts, QB Wally Strong goes down hard. He has ruptured his skull and is out for a while. QB Antoine Clark starts for him. In the last game of the season, QB Clark is playing against the Colts when he goes out for a very long time as well. We finish with our sub in there. Wow. I fast forward past our 4-12 season and our stats after saving the game to make sure I can come back. Both of our QBs retire due to injury, and that’s that. This dynasty was over very soon. That was….rough Well, let’s call it One and Done: Season 1 – 0-16 Season 2 – 4-12 Season 3 – 4-12
