Holiday Info

As you know I am totally disabled and can't leave our upstairs apartment very often. Well after 2 years of what seemed like hopeless searching, we have finally found a house to rent. It has a bedroom and bath downstairs and NO STAIRS to get in and out of the house. So I will be able to get out whenever I want. We will be moving next weekend (hopefully), and with the holidays upon us, I need to take a 2 week hiatus from the game. I promise you all that this will be the last break for a long time. My life finally gets to go outdoors whenever I so choose. It may not seem like much to most people but when you're stuck inside because you can't leave easily it sucks. My world is finally going to be more then this apartment alone. I hope you all understand that this is something I must do to make my family better,

I know what you will all say because of how great you all are, so let me say this beforehand.....

So happy for you Dan!!! What a feeling that must be to be able to have a little more "freedom"!! If I was in your area I would bring my truck over to help with the move

Thank you for the kind words to all of you. It is extremely satisfying to know that I'll be able to go out in my chair again. Leaving has been such a choir when I couldn't easily get my chair outside. To be able to come and go as I please is going to be nice.

If i can wait patiently while billionaires fight with millionaires about how to split up billions of dollars of NHL money, then i can put my sim baseball on hold while a friend improves his quality of life!

Today is the day I've been waiting for for 2 years. I will make my final trip down these damn stairs in the next couple hours.

I get internet and cable hooked up on Monday so you'll hardly notice I was gone. Not that there was much to miss.

I am thrilled. Tomorrow I'm taking my wheelchair to meet my grandparents at a restaurant for lunch. I haven't taken myself to anything in a very long time. I'm not afraid to say it either when I say its been a happy few days for my family. We've had a couple emotional moments here for sure. It might not seem like something as important as what I'm making it out to be but I promise you this little thing makes a huge change in my life.
