Roll Your Own Albums

1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random... Read More”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.

5 - Post it here

Some random combos are funnier than others.

I only have GIMP to work with here at work so, it's not as pretty as I'd like to get it if I had photoshop.

There was already a photo tag there so I figured it would work.

Apparently, my band is a late 90s Eurovision export.

I wish I knew how to do any photoshop stuff at all, since the band name I got was Body Snatching and the album name The Law Of Averages, both I thought were pretty awesome.

sounds like it should have been

Fighting A HARD Battle

edit: perhaps the "tailboys" are trying to tell you something about the hard battle... that looks like a nice dock for a wedding!

I just used Paint. Just open the picture in paint and use the button with the A on it to place letters. Choose a font and color and italics etc. Then type. If you mess up press CTNL-Z to try again as you have no other choice since paint is so simplistic.

And don't forget to save your work.

I was more concerned that the gullet on that bird might be a subliminal message of some sort.

Brazilian band Jaguaruna's 1997 release '10% Hard Work, 90% Delusion' was unfortunately the only album the band released, due to the disappearance of lead singer/songwriter Alejandro Juarez the following summer, a case that has still not been solved to this day. The album received mixed reviews due to its aggressive political nature, which some think is a possible explanation for Juarez's disappearance, as well as motivation for the remaining 3 members of the band to flee the country in the wake of such a mysterious occurrence. Perhaps the most notorious song on the album, "El Manifesto de Jaguaruna" was said to have been considered a blatant threat to local government, which may have lead to Juarez's subsequent disappearance.

I should probably figure out how to use a graphics editor at some point.

Aphomia Pygmealis - Burdens Of Another

To take a good idea from the previous thread:

Aphomia Pygmealis was formed in the wintry air of December 2009 when Anders Vollker and Dimitri Tikkanen (formerly of Oslo band Death Shroud) met drummer/bassist Ahmed Poonampur at the Blåfrostfestivalen winter music festival. Their mutual love for all things black metal evolved into impromptu garage sessions at Vollker's home in Oslo and within 6 months, the band recorded over 50 original songs, 10 of which were released on this, their epic debut album released in 2011. The band is said to be working on a follow up while they continue to tour northern Europe, with recording expected to begin in summer 2013. Describing their sound, Vollker likens the band to "a laser hammer made of ice forged in the frozen heart of a snow dragon". With technical riffs, frequent use of synthesizers and some elements of industrial music creating a cold, brutal, futuristic sound which is truly unique, it appears Aphomia Pygmealis is one moth that will always be around the spotlight of the Norwegian black metal scene.

Not sure the band name "Hang Ten!" fits in with the rest of it, sounds like a lame boy band.

I don't know what to think, he is either gospel, country, or straight out of the 70's.
