Day Ten has begun




Quest -



Now that you have many dead behind you you pick up the Star Knife.


Dying Cultists were forced to tell the truth before they went and you know how to destroy both in one blow!

I will accept Questfall for this quest. If someone has become a Cultist, then they make fake this task, at which point the game will not be won by the village. Otherwise, Quest is over at 1 pm Wednesday liek normal

The two of you, a bit mistrustingly, move off to the cave.


You know how to save everything but this is a sacrifice long in the making.


A soul sacrifice works by pulling out the souls of the unwilling. But to reverse and break both parts of the ceremony, you have to have a sacrifice that is willing.



Only complete trust will allow this to work. If one of you has become a Cultist, the other dies unwillingly by default, and the ceremony will be completed and Earth will go away as that person and any Cultist allies will be taken to a new life elsewhere.









All of your lives have led to this.



This moment.




This time




This is yours





You have lived a life of crime, sin and shame. You have lived a life in the gutters and the whorehouses.





But not today. Today you stand up and say, no more.






The two of you arrive at the altar and you flip a coin. JAG loses and is placed on the altar. Danny picks up the knife. For the first time in in adult life, JAG crosses himself.




Danny plunges the Star Knife down.






And it is all over.....

The blade hits JAG and pierces his heart, slaying him instantly.

Danny is blasted back by the concussion of the blast and smashed against the wall. His back crackes and his neck snaps and he is dead.

The destruction of the two objects brings down the cave that was used.


A large evil presence sets over Thurmond, and fifteen years from now, it will be a ghost town.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the C&O railroad retakes the scroll, the book, the money, the Diary of Jacob Typer and more, and replaces it in its headquarters.



After all, there are more meteorites where those came from.....

Thanks Abe, some great write-ups from you. Not sure we deserve the win to be honest. I'll be interested to hear what the cultists got to do behind the scenes, why they didn't fake their work more often than they did, and so on.

No matter what happens, everyone dies.


The Cultists win, when they summon Yog-Sothoth, then it arrives and just smashes them. They misread some old text and it is not forced to take them back, just to be pissed at them.

Cultist normally had two roles - interfere at night with any person and to fake work in day. To balance a bunch of Cultist playing havok at night, they could only interefere every other night.


But, they did do things like vote on who was killed with the Star Knife sacrifice and such.

Oh believe me, I was faking my work every chance I got (which is why the showdown between you (JAG), me, and Autumn was particularly hilarious). It was just the problem of having absolutely no idea who were cultists, and thus having no chance to stack the deck on jobs.

i decided to go on being a good little villager and try to stay as UTR as i could since circumstances kind of forced me out of a couple days of the game...i did my work every time.

That's exactly what I would've done as a cultist, yet it seems like we succeeded at almost everything despite there being quite a few cultists.

Thanks for the game, Abe! I had fun. Great ending. Glad I was able to get back into the game after getting killed early on, although I wish it was for a better reason than mau having a family emergency.

Now I'm even more annoyed I didn't get back on and switch my vote to JAG. Sounds like we would have won the game much easier if I had done so.

I became a cultist night 3, and mostly faked my work after that, except one day I forgot to, I think when I handed out weapons. I screwed up my interferes. Once I assumed all the cultists were going to interfere with Font since she said she was going to scan someone, so I saved mine. But nobody did. Then I was going to interfere with Saldana's scan the night I got lynched. Game would have been quite different if either of those, or my lynch, had gone differently.

It was destined to come down to me as the last alive. No actions you could have taken would have interfered with destiny.
