Whoops, meant to make this public. Sorry. Please vote and post too so we can talk.
I would much rather GM than play all day long and thrice on Sunday.

Playing. I like GMing, but nothing gives me more satisfaction than going wolf hunting.

I'm not sure how to vote. I really like to GM, I find it relaxing (on an easier rule set) because I don't have to worry about winning, just sit back and watch the fun. Coming up with rulesets is a lot of fun to me, and I always have a batch in the works.
But I can't imagine not playing. I'd probably be happy mostly GMing, but being a player is stressful but lots of fun. |

I didn't vote because I enjoy the heck out of both. One game only, I would rather GM but back when I had the bandwidth to do both I really enjoyed running one game a year (maybe 2?) and seeing what everyone else came with the other 11+ months out of the year.

Oh, and there was nothing relaxing about being a GM for me

Just found out that my local Comic shop does 'live' Werewolf games - how awesome is that

Would absolutely love to do it ... If I stay with my current employer for 3 years (I'm in my 2nd week) I'll be entitled to a sabbatical. So possibly then? Once upon a time I would have scoffed at the idea of the WW forum still being around in 3 years, but it remains active and fun even as the names change. |

They did a bunch of them at GenCon when I went. Couple hours or so. I actually prefer the online game. It's more secretive, and allows for way more crazy ass roles that just wouldn't work in live operations. |

I agree, using "much" puts a little too emphasis on either angle. Technically neither response fits me (I selected play). I think push comes to shove, most of the time I would rather just play, because I don't often have the time to run a game.
That said, I get GM ideas all of the time, and I do get the itch to run a game. When I get the chance to be a GM, I'm really excited to do it, probably more so than when I play. So I am more in the middle, with a slight nod to playing.

I haven't done much GMing compared with playing, but I don't know that I have a strong preference either way. I really enjoyed GMing the Norse game I ran.

Anywhere from a half-hour to a couple hours. My first live experience was just in October, and I ended up GMing most of the time (apparently my year or so playing here led the way...). I like how personalities come through more apparently (there's no need to try to read into text on a screen), but the online setup allows for more complicated game formats. Then again, GMing live, there was the girl who, when being awoken to do her night work as the seer, verbally acknowledged me... |

I know! And I still have the ruleset I worked on essentially worked out (call it 75% done). The problem is it is a big ruleset for a big game, and we haven't really had the numbers. So I have held off on doing it just yet. If I start to see us consistently hitting 13-15 for games, I will roll it out and figure the theme alone would get us up to the 18-21 I think would work best.
