Hall of Champions - a football rogue-like
Hey guys! It's been a long time! I was a member of the USFL, worked on the FOF2k4(?) scraper utility, and the NFL Head Coach settings utilities back in the day. These days I'm taking part in 'one game a month'. I'm tasked with starting, finishing, and releasing a game each month.
I've always wanted to make a football game, so for January I made a football rogue-like mashup. I had to skimp in a few areas to finish (stats, names, special teams), but I think the results are worth it. Screens: I revisited it over the last few days, adding depth, and posted it to Kongregate. You can play in your browser here. If you don't like Kongregate, you can also play it at my website here. I figured you guys would be interested. Check it out and pass any feedback along. I'd love to revisit this idea in the future and turn it into a full fledged sim. And if you're interested in following me over the next year, check me out at my website here. |

Good start I felt like barry sanders out there with all the cutbacks I did on my RB.

Well I beat the game I did notice the difficultly in later levels but I never felt the sense like that I could be beaten no team scored on me till the last level I always could score with my running back if I followed blocks and cut back at the right time.

Thanks for checking it out!
It's largely based on how good of an initial roll you get and then how well you play to your team's strengths. If you play with a different team, you may notice more difficulty. As an aside - if you play through again, you'll have to beat your first team to take the championship from them! |
