How does this violate the rights of women who work in them? Were they somehow forced to work in them? Also, doesn't this violate the rights of women who want to strip?

Yeah - last I checked Iceland didn't send anybody to the moon.

And yes - that's always my arguments in favor of strip clubs...I think they can actually be empowering. I can see the argument that there might be seedy elements associated with say brothels and such, but I think by and large the decision to work at a strip club is a choice these days...
