Any Interest In A NL Auction League?
I know the league we did two years ago kind of fell apart but I'm itching to get a long term NL only league going.
Was thinking a keeper league, auction draft on ESPN next weekend would be doable with as few as 8, though 10 would be awesome. Something along the lines of a $40 or $50 buy in. Any interested parties? |

Depends on how many joined up but likely 1C, MI, CI, 5OF, 9P. 4 man bench.
Probably 4 or 5 keepers per team. |

I would be interested, but would prefer something like $20 buy in for the first year

I guess. Let me get past my mixed league auction tonight and then I'll really think about it.

Sweet.
To those interested, let me ask a few questions. 1. Cost A) $30 B) $40 C) $50 Keepers Per Year A) 4 B) 5 B) 6 Keeper Price Increase A) $4 B) $5 C) $6 I honestly have no idea what the standard is, but those look like decent options. As far as the draft goes I'm thinking Saturday would be best, or even Friday night. I could do Sunday, but not much later than 2pm est. |

I would be up for it.
1. Cost A) $30 Keepers Per Year A) 4 Keeper Price Increase I would recommend a slotting for keepers. First keeper is $3 second is $4 third is $5 etc. Then the following year if you keep the player again he needs to be slotted in the next higher slot. This might mean we really could go to 6 keeper max. So if you have Reyes this year at a cost of $31 and you keep him in the $3 slot he would cost $34. Next year you would need to slot him in the $4 slot then the $5 slot. Maybe also put a max of three years to keep a guy? |

Not really in favor of slotting for keepers, would rather just keep the simpler system. I also would be fine with going up to $50 next year.

The league I'm in uses tiered increases for keepers. $1 increase for guys who were $1-9, $2 increase for $10-19, $3 increase for 20-29, and so on, but you can only keep a player for 2 additional years after bidding, but there is a franchise tag system to keep one additional player for a 4th and 5th year. We also use a limit of 5 players and $75 total dollars.

Ok, so we have a soft 6. Let's say we start at $30 this year with the idea of moving up to $40 or $50 next year?
Does anyone have draft times they can't do next fri/sat/sun? |

While I'm not against slotting keepers, I think it's probably best to just keep it simple right now. Up to 4 a year with a $5 increase each year with a 4 year limit.

Unfortunately all three days are out for me as I have relatives coming in town. The following week I could do Saturday or Sunday.

I am in.
1) $30 2) 4 3) None of the above? Or if not $5 is good. Will there be a cost per transaction? Right now Friday night looks like my best bet. Saturday is probably a no go. Daughter running a 5k in the morning. Other daughter has a basketball tourney. Times of tourney not posted yet. So Im not sure about Sunday yet. Depends on basketball scvhedule. BB tourney is about 1 1/2 hours from my house.

I don't like the idea of a cost per transaction, but there should be a limit on the number.

Nah, no transaction cost. I was thinking of just going with a $50 or $100 FAAB.

Eh, was in too much of a rush last night, thought anyone would be able to join the league unless I set it to private.
Anyhoo, here's the link, just pm me for an invite. Edit: I need to wake up first before I do this crap. http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueo...eagueId=199001 Also will be collecting payment before the draft. Last edited by Suicane75 : 04-02-2013 at 11:25 AM. |

Did you mean to set the league up with daily lineup changes? My personal preference is for weekly which takes less time.

I'd be interested in there is room, but I can't make the draft time as my son has a baseball game at 8 PM EST.

I am still interested in playing but if we are doing daily lineups I will not be able to join. While I would love to I just do not have the time to commit to a daily lineup league. Please clarify if this will in fact be daily lineups.

Based on what I am seeing it doesnt look like the league will happen for this year with seemingly no draft time working and less than 8 current signups and the season already underway. Would love to do it for next year though.
