I think he's back the grove, Richter is comfortable there again and it seems like he never left, and I'd be content if he can just find his low-rated niche there in basic cable late night for years to come. It's still a daily DVR fast-watch for me.

There are people in the world that watch Carson Daily, I accept that, I just hope I never meet any of them.

Late Night TV Ratings For The Week Of September 19-23 - Ratings | TVbytheNumbers

Late Night Ratings for premiere week. As much as I love Conan, he just doesn't pull in viewers. This week's numbers have got to be particularly embarassing. Last Call w/Carson Daly had more total viewers and the same adults 18-49 rating. This is a show that starts 2 and a half hours later than Conan. And you can't even use clearances as an excuse, as Comedy Central is in 2 million fewer homes, but Daily Show only lost to Letterman/Leno by 0.1 in adults 18-49 and had 1 million more total viewers than Conan.

Conan is back in New York for a week of shows. In my view, he should move back to New York. The setting just seems to be better for him.

Ended up randomly seeing that he had Fallon on, and I watched it. Great show. Sadly, though, I watched it only because in the past 2 years I have transitioned from being a Conan guy to a Fallon guy

I still can't watch Fallon at all. He seems to have the talent of an end table that has a slight wobble, Not a wobble that allows anything interesting to happen, but just enough to make sure you don't ever want to own one of them.

Rather surprising but Conan was extended through April 2014.
