IWS #208 - Results
1. Stupid likes to go to the movies and hit the concession stands. He always gets soda, popcorn and candy. What kind of candy is he buying?
I figured this question would have a widespread of answers and wasn't dissapointed. Thought Raisinets would win this one. Milk Duds: 6 M&Ms: 5 Twizzlers: 4 Junior Mints: 4 Raisinets: 3 Snickers: 2 Sour Patch Kids: 2 Skittles: 2 Red Vines: 1 Nestle Crunch: 1 2. Stupid's TV was stolen recently, and now he needs a replacement. What brand is he buying? I thought this question would be more evenly split between Samsung and Sony but we ended up with our first eliminator Sony: 17 Samsung: 8 Panasonic: 2 LG: 1 Sharp: 1 Vizio: 1 3. Stupid has a gambling problem. Besides Alabama, who is he putting his money on to win the national championship for the 2013-14 season? I'm not sure what I expected with this question. I was surprised Georgia got so little love from Stupid tho. [b]LSU: 10 THE Ohio State: 10 Notre Dame: 4 Oregon: 4 Georgia: 1 Stanford: 1 4. Stupid is going to be a contestant on The Price is Right. Besides punching Drew Carey in the face, which game does Stupid hope he gets to play? This was definitely designed as an eliminator? Who doesn't love Plinko and who doesn't want to punch Drew Carey in the face? If you answered No to either of those questions, you came to the wrong place. It would have been interesting if I had disqualified Plinko from the possibilities to see what would have come out on top. Plinko: 21 Showcase Showdown: 3 Pachenko: 1 (sorry claphamsa) Cliffhanger: 1 Bonkers: 1 Safecrackers: 1 Hi Lo: 1 Spin The Big Wheel: 1 5. More gambling fun. Who is stupid putting his money on to win the 2014 World Cup? Eliminator, plain and simple. Brazil: 20 Spain: 5 Argentina: 1 Italy: 1 Germany: 1 Detroit Tigers: 1 Justin Verlander & Kate Upton: 1 (WTF?) 6. Stupid is a big fan of G.I. Joe. Name a GI Joe character. Stupid loves him some ninja action, and this one ended up an eliminator. I'm a little surprised Roadblock didn't get a single vote as he's the lead character in the new movie, but I guess it's not promoted that way. Hate the generic GI Joe answers. Snake Eyes: 16 Cobra Commander: 5 GI Joe: 5 (This guy?) Duke: 3 Sargeant Slaughter: 1 And the final tallies: Didn't even read the questions Code:

Lost on Twizzlers. Mild duds were my 2nd choice though.

So close, yet so far. Raisinets is what killed me. Oh well. Good IWS...stuff in my wheelhouse and glad to see all the love for Plinko. Best part of the Price Is Right iPad app is getting to play it. That and the Cliffhanger game.

Woohoo! I figured I was doomed when I didn't get the top answer for the first question, but M&M's was good enough!

I think when we have co-winners we usually have each person submit three questions? I'll PM nilodor and get it sorted out to get the next one up.

Brazil? Ha! That's like picking the USA to win the World Baseball Classic.

Yeah I totally bombed the World Cup question. I read as far as "World" and assumed it was a World Series question. But question 4 is clearly one of those where the IWS standard of needing the most popular answer, and not necessarily the correct answer, comes into play. Cliffhanger >>>>>>>> Plinko

It's one of those things where it's up to the winners to decide what they want to do. Heck, I remember that one time three of us created an IWS. It took a while to decide on a theme, we submitted a bunch of questions, and then whittled it down to 2 from each person. All depends on how much effort you want to put into it. SI

GI Joe gets mentioned twice in the question, and only 5 people picked him?
You people clearly aren't stupid ENOUGH.

It makes me think of if you asked stupid "what is your favorite sport" and you answered "sport"
