Help Me Identify A TV Show
Back in the 90's there were a series of shows on PBS (at least my PBS station) that was a roundtable where various politicos and military personal were presented with a hypothetical situation and asked to debate it. It was taped in front of an audience, I think at a college or various colleges. There was a moderator (Jim Lehrer maybe?). Anyhoo, I'm trying to find them online but can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Any help y'all?

Chinaski's guess wasn't bad, but if you mean what I think you mean, this was more like experts -- I want to say former cabinet level people & Pentagon brass & the like -- being given very specific scenarios when they would then basically "wargame" (for lack of a better description) over 60-120 minutes. I want to say Kissinger was on a couple of these as well as administration members from the Carter era, maybe a few Reagan guys as well. Alas, the name or even the host escapes me at the moment

Yes, we're thinking of the same thing. Appreciate it Chinaski, but it wasn't the McLaughlin group. What I'm thinking of wasn't a regular series. |

Was this it maybe?
Ethics in America - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In particular, the Under Orders, Under Fire (Ethics in the Military, Part I) Under Orders, Under Fire (Ethics in the Military, Part II) ... seem familiar to me. There were 10 topics in the original series altogether.

I believe that's it.
I found this on youtube, Jennings & Wallace, reporters first, Americans second - YouTube and it's one of (at least part) the ones I remember watching. Thanks Jon. Now to find out where I can watch them. |

I'm like 20 minutes into the first one and it's just as engrossing as I remember. Why can't we make more TV like this?

It's only been like 6-7 yrs ago that the same folks did just that, with a Volume II of the series. How much interest did that generate? There's your answer in a nutshell.
