Should bacon be a luxury item due to its wonderful tastiness or should it be guaranteed to the masses because of how awesome it is?

"Britain's National Pig Association has sounded the alarm that the world should brace for an 'unavoidable' bacon and pork shortage next year."
This is entirely unhelpful. How are we supposed to "brace" for such a thing? Board the windows? Get to high ground? Start hoarding roadkill in basement freezers? |

My role is like that of Cassandra: I can inform of the impending doom and many won't believe me. But the worst part is that I will be powerless to stop it.
However, this tells me I should buy some bacon now and eat it SI

We could probably stretch it if we just cut thick cut bacon in half.

I ate duck once and it was pretty good. I'll have to keep an eye out for duck bacon.

Watched a show on the Food Network yesterday called "Chef Michael's Kitchen" (not sure if it airs in the US or not) and the first part of it was featuring bacon. He roasted three pork tenderloins each marinated in something different but all three were wrapped in bacon...YUMMY! Then he roasted bacon on a baking sheet and covered it with a brown sugar and mustard mixture...looked really yummy. AND then, he made a bacon whiskey jam made primarily with bacon, onions, brown sugar and whiskey! OMG!!!
http://www.foodnetwork.ca/recipes/ba...l?dishid=12886 The other recipes are listed on this page as well. Your welcome! (I had to get blood work done this morning so I was fasting last night...I really, really should have changed the channel when that show started as that was the toughest fasting period I've ever had to endure!!!) |
