Freeman seems like he needs a break to get his confidence back or something.

Joe Webb, please report to Vikings facilities. We will run the read option the rest of the season.

This just in. Josh Freeman is still a really bad QB.
I think Matt Flynn is available.

I feel like I could do better than 14-37 for 138 and a pick against the Giants.

Just saw someone ask "If Tim Tebow takes a minute to think, is it a Christian Ponder?" on the fanduel chat.

Mills is terrible, I'm sorry. He is currently the lowest rated tackle in all of football at the moment. Bostic shouldn't have started week one because he has played terrible so far in his limited action. Greene can't beat Blake Costanzo (who is abysmal) out on the depth chart. And we haven't seen much out of Wilson yet to make any grade. Jeffrey looks like a real good pick, but even that can't salvage the 2012 draft. Half his picks aren't even in the league a year later (3rd, 4th, and 7th rounder). The 1st round pick won't be in another year or two. Frey looks competent I guess as a nickel. 12 picks and we have 2, maybe 3 guys who can play in this league. That's terrible. And Mel Tucker was the defensive coordinator in Jacksonville where his defense was in the bottom five 3 out of the 4 years. With this current Bears defense, it'll be 4 out of the 5 years. A solid hire by the GM. |

BREAK UP THE GIANTS!!!
Man what an ugly, ugly win but I'll take it. Whoever calls the offensive plays for the Vikings should have been fired Lane Kiffen style. To have a QB who has been on the team less than 2 weeks throw 53 times when you have the best RB since Barry Sanders in your backfield is inexcusable. |

I don't know what the Vikings are trying to accomplish with Freeman? It'll take weeks of playing to get any type of timing down with the receivers and learn the playbook enough to run something close to the full playbook.
It just seems like a desperate last gasp by Speilman and Frazier to hang onto their jobs.

I couldn't torment myself and watch the whole game, but what I saw from Freeman went so far beyond lack of preparation/time in the offense. He was simply horrendous, both in his accuracy and decision-making. How about that sprint out left they ran towards the end of the second half where he threw it directly to a NYG defender who dropped an easy pick six? That was straight mental inadequacy.
I'm not a big conspiracy guy, but I saw some speculation that maybe the Freeman signing/decision to start was forced on Frazier/Musgrave so they responded with a "you want this guy? Here, watch him be atrocious for 53 attempts". Makes more sense than anything else to me. |

Gruden made an interesting comment. He said that putting Freeman out there this quickly wasn't fair to Freeman, and it wasn't fair to Musgrave, and it wasn't fair to Frazier. Which I thought was strange b/c I had assumed that Frazier and/or Musgrave made the decision to start him. I wonder if they told Gruden off the record that they did not want to start Freeman, but that the order had come from on high. If that's the case, then Gruden's comment makes a lot more sense. |

It really is a plausible explination. The coaching staff is likely gone anyway, and why on earth are they throwing so much with AP in the backfield and a one score game. |

Yeah I honestly wish they'd trade AP so he has a chance to improve his legacy and the Vikings can start over. As for Allen I dont feel as bad. The Vikings paid him a lot of money and I dont consider him the greatest that has ever played his position. |

Greatest? No. But I still think Allen is pretty damn good and the Vikings have went nowhere with some pretty talented teams.

Ya, Its typical Vikings. Not sure if they are the most unlucky or stupidest franchise in the history of sports but they have wasted more opportunities for greatness than any team in history IMO. I think at one point they were unlucky now I think they are just stupidly run. Maybe one day they will get a coach and QB that understands how to win. |

Early news out of Indy indicates the Colts won't be able to trade or grade a known name to replace Wayne. Only 1.2 mil in cap space. Looks like we'll need….gulp…..DHB to step up.

If only you guys could trade a 1st round pick to Cleveland for Josh Gordon. Overall, maybe it's just an overreaction to the Pats rash of injuries, but it definitely seems like more stars are going down for the season this year, which is just unfortunate all around. Saw on another board, one move that would actually make sense would be to swap Richardson for Nicks at this point. It would say a lot about how bad Richardson has looked since getting to Indy. The Giants are looking at, at best, a 2015 3rd round comp pick for Nicks anyway.

Giants need to trade Nicks while they can get something for him. Richardson has looked terrible, but I would take him over the FAs we have been sending out there and I would be shocked if Nicks comes back. |

I've started assuming my own thoughts have already been posted on the internet somewhere. Can't tell if that's because I am just an early adopter of the hive mind or because the only thing original about me is the make up of my atoms. I'm going to google this statement now.
