January 19: Abilene Christian at Incarnate Word

Incarnate gets off to a great start as Abilene's squad has trouble finding the basket. IW takes a 26-14 lead, but Abilene comes storming back. A Jeeber 3 pointer and Dean Hoo jumper give ACU the lead just after the half. But Abilene's shooting woes quickly return and Incarnate goes on a 19-3 run. Abilene makes one last late run and pull within 5 on a Hoo 3 pointer, but Incarnate hits their free throws down the stretch and send their rivals packing once again.

February 9: Incarnate Word at Abilene Christian

It was a very even first half. Incarnate at one point led by as much as 6, but could never pull away. Two free throws by Eckman made it a 30-30 tie at halftime. The teams continued to match each other in the second half, exchanging several leads. With 10:22 left, Incarnate led 51-48. This is when Abilene made a move. The Abilene defense forced turnovers on 6 of Incarnate's next 7 possessions to lead an 11-1 run for a 7 pt lead with 5:48 left. Incarnate called a timeout to try and regroup, but it didn't help. Over their next 6 possessions, they missed 4 shots and committed 2 turnovers. It was a non-FOFC player that finally broke the bad streak, as Dewey Lloya scored a basket with 3:08 left. By then it had been 8 minutes since Incarnate's last FG and they had no hope of getting back in it.
