I thought it was clearly a foul/impediment.

He made the most of the contact, but it was still a penalty. The Dutch should have had a penalty in the first half too.

He really made a meal of it, but Rafa does actually come down ON Robben's foot. Also - no one would deny they deserved one in the first half.

Totally winnable game for Mexico, but i think it's hard to feel "robbed" or anything.

Mexico's failing was 1. Rafa Marquez 2. They seem to lack heart.

Hard to come up with a squad I'm happier to see eliminated than Mexico. Thanks Netherlands.

I don't think he gets the call if he does not make it so dramatic. But the defender can't allow him that opportunity.

Agreed, that was a penalty, he fell just to caught the referee attention, what is just stupid, but the referees fault.

I was rooting for Mexico, and believe they've played better than NEd through the toruney and at this game, but when Mexican coach decides so incredibly soon to sub Giovani and park the bus thats what he was calling for.

No, not referring as much as their effort in the field, but to their psychological stability. They are often crying, and although their speech is always full of confidence that is not reflected in the field.

2002. Fifa lost an opportunity to make a point. Rivaldo should have been suspended for his actions against China( or Turkey?), simulating a penalty and specially for pretending he was hit on the face. We deserved to have lost to Belgium too. But the team was a better unit as far as I remember.

If Greece had just one brilliant, creative force of nature, even on the level of a James Rodriguez, dang. They'd be a heavy.

Mexico's failing is mostly due to bad coaching I think. They removed an offensive player 'Dos Santos' (who actually was the scorer) and replaced him by 'Aquino' who did nothing after coming in. This killed the team momentum and heart as you call it.

On the other hand Nederlands didn't steal the win. They totally earned it on the field but they can thank the Mexican coach.

Ok. How about cards for some of the Greek fouls. That yellow on Ruiz was weak.

I don't blame them. After that 2x "yellow" sending off, I'd do it to.

CONCACAAF teams suck at seeing out games apparently. I think as a confederation they've given up more goals in the last 5-10 minutes of games then any other in this World Cup BY FAR.

DT this doesn;t count. Down 10 men, weak 2nd yellow to cause it, ref getting a bit "helpful" to Greece late

Keeper was at fault for me: shouldn't have pushed it back into the centre where the Greeks were indeed massed.

The first yellow wasn't even a foul, let alone a card: the Greek player dived
