This show needs to figure out who the main characters are and focus on them. It worked when they all had the same/similar agenda and location, but now everyone has their own agenda and location. Several characters don't even interact with each other any more. Time to scale back or shut down. This season has been abysmal.

The old sheriff as a racist klan killer? just not feeling that as a plot twist.
And it's fairly obvious that the Lilith blood is tainted with some sort of drug. |

With a new show runner coming in, it seems like they are killing off some of the old standby characters. I'm hoping the fairie nonsense will end sooner or later.

It's like they channeled all the Tara suck, multiplied it by a factor of 14, and merged it into Bill. He's not a villain, he's a fuckhead. Totally unwatchable.
I think they'll kill off 4-5 characters this week, all of these people suck. Luna has horrible boobs. Check out the 70s bush on Lillith. |

Yeah - the whole "nest" thing has just made Bill unwatchably bad. Eric too for most of the season (though now he's out maybe that will change).

The smoke monster was the proverbial canary in the coal mine for this show. Lilith needs to handle her period a little better.

Yeah, that was a pretty insane finale. Great kills galore.
The Terry smoke monster plot was very stupid and a complete waste of time. It was filler. I really like Terry and Arlene, but they are best as some comic relief, though I guess they had to deal with Terry's time in Iraq some way. Just wish it would have been not so stupid. Fairy stuff is always lame. The white trash werewolves are pretty much always lame. They don't really serve that much of a purpose and it feels like they've been involved in the same plotline - werewolves addicted to V - for the last three seasons. Jason turning vamp-hunter because he saw some form of his dead parents was pretty stupid. The Authority plotline grew tiresome. Tara as a vamp >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tara as a human. I don't hold True Blood to any real standard, so I was fine with it. I watch it for some loves and over-the-top nonsense, which this season delivered in fits and starts.

Suddenly? I think I had that moment back in season 3, tried to get back in it a few times and immediately was struck with that emotion.

Yeah, that's probably true, too. Just got strung along by great moments here and there.

It was definitely over the top, but the show has never really been all that grounded to begin with.

That funeral and associated flashbacks was some painfully bad television. I guess they felt they needed something to break up the awesome going on at 'camp'.

Yea, why devote that much time to Terry's death? The camp killings were outstanding, however. Particularly the scientist who injected Nora.

Just started catching up on season 6. So far I like it better than the previous few. The angle with the governer is a neat one and I like Eric so much better than Bill so I am glad he is getting more screen time. The Warlow thing is cool but really predictible, looking forward to seeing where it goes. Just finished episode 4, can't wait to see if those fairy girls are really dead.

Well, this is it. I assume that Skokie's blood will somehow get synthesized in order to end the violence? The whole show has been about how irresistible she is.
And FU HBO for continuing to creatively block Debra Ann Woll's nude scenes. |

Kill Bill v3?
Didn't see that coming. Sort of a d-bag move to be like "oh here's pregnant Sookie but you'll never see anything other than the back of her husband's head." Sarah Newlin...haha Last edited by DaddyTorgo : 08-24-2014 at 11:44 PM. |

It was only important to show that Sookie had moved on.
I'll miss Pam and Eric, they had great chemistry. Kind of sad it's all over. I may do a re-watch at some point, although I imagine it will be easy to fast forward through significant stretches. |

Almost as bad as the Dexter/HIMYM finale in terms of like...making sense and being coherent IMO. But the show had been downhill for so long on those things that like...I think it got cut a lot more slack so nobody's holding it to that high a standard as those other shows. |

I thought it was an appropriate finale. Bill longed to join his family on the other side. He realized that he had nothing to offer Sookie. Jason and others got a happy ending. Sookie found love finally and a normal guy. IIRC she was a virgin when she hooked up with Bill. This was never a great show like Dexter, it just had great moments throughout. I don't think the finale was disappointing at all.
And who is that girl who played Bridget? She sorta looked like Heidi Montag post surgery I thought. |

I didn't hate the finale, I just found it kind of boring.
Overall, despite it being a bit of a hot mess at times, I enjoyed the show. It was a fun ride at times.

Agree with all, I like how they tied it up and for me the husband/ father didnt matter, everyone gets a normal life. I love that they dedicated a large chunk to Jessica and gave her a nice send off. I thiught they may kill her. |
