I think this might be pretty good. Derek seems like a real solid guy and his first two offerings were good, just kind of niche and of course he has to compete with the machine that is Adam Ryland and TEW over there.
But he seems to have hit on a game that will have wider appeal and it is generating some pretty good interest so far. |

This might interest me. I always kind of laughed at NASCAR but I joined a weekly pool this year and done very well so my interest has gone up quite a bit. Though I don't see anything about a Mac version for this game?

I miss the old Papyrus games. They had exactly what I wanted. Was fun to race and was also able to run a sim league with it; allowing people to setup their ratings and settings for the races; then run the race and save the replays for them.

Sounds like a definite buy even with my limited interest in NASCAR
Next question - why can't someone make an updated version of GPM2 that doesn't suck? |

If someone can get this right, balancing the detail level needed with the playability so that it "feels" like NASCAR ... yeah, even with my interest in the real thing being about 1% of what it used to be then I'd be sorely tempted.
I've rolled so many different ways to model it on tabletop around in my head for so many years, I can't have anything but respect for a designer who manages to even get close.
