The World Pac-Man Tour
The year is 1980. Video games are taking over the world and the most exciting by far is Pac-Man. Join me as I, Joey Joseph, embark on a magical journey and join the World Pac-Man tour.
Names are randomly generated, scores are randomly generated between 33,000 and 200,000. Lower scoring players will drop out and be replaced from tournament to tournament. Depending on your placement in a previous tournament you will receive bonuses to your score in the next tournament as a way to try and obtain some sort of hierarchy of quality. These points can be distributed throughout the tourney as need be. I just realized I'll be doing more math than Pac-Man playing. Oh well, let's see how it goes. |

Gah, completely forgot about this. Right after I posted this I got the weird issue and couldn't get to the site for a week. Will almost certainly start this sometime soon.

Not a good start for me at all. I scored 46,120 in my first game which put me in a major hole, and things just got worse from there. My 2nd game was a disastrous 24,670. I still had hope of making the cutoff with a huge 3rd game but could only manage 71,380. Oh well, can't win em all. On to New Orleans for the Gulf Coast Open. |

This is just an excuse to play a lot of Pac-Man, right?

Actually I'm not playing a lot of Pac-Man at all, which is kind of defeating the whole purpose. I'm doing a ton of cutting and pasting though, if that sounds like fun.

Another horrible start as I garnered just 27,100 points in my first game. Faced with becoming a laughing stock I stepped up my game on my 2nd turn and scored 118,240. On the verge of making the cut, I came up just short in game 3 with 86,130. Hopefully a nice corn on the cob dinner will help me in Omaha. I can't keep getting knocked out in the 1st round. |
