That was a beautiful fake. The Dolphins had no idea it was happening.

How is Romo in the MVP talk? He is not even the MVP on his own team. Without Murray they are watching the playoffs.

The Dolphins defense looked like they had no idea what was happening most of the day. Always nice to end a non-playoff season on a high note!

Is Romo in any serious person's MVP talk, or is that just tv talking heads pandering to viewers?

Honestly, we can take that to the extreme. Without that offensive line Murray wouldn't lead the NFL in rushing. If defenses didn't have to respect the passing game with Romo, Bryant and Witten, Murray wouldn't lead the league in rushing. If the Cowboys hadn't finally hired an offensive coordinator who was committed to running the ball, then Murray would've had another average season.

I have no issues with Murray being in the MVP conversation, but I wouldn't dismiss Romo either. YMMV.

I don't think Rodgers comes back either way. They exit the playoffs early if they have to depend on Matt Flynn.

They just have to hope that Flynn saved a little of the magic from the time he had the big day against Detroit.

Random thought: I think Philip Rivers is the most overrated QB in a long, long time. He chokes a lot in big games and is constantly complaining to officials when he is on the field. You would almost think he has been coached by Jim Harbaugh.

He's always lacked the maturity to be an elite QB. Norv got a lot of blame for the team's failings, but Rivers was right there.

Wow-what a surprise with my beloved Cardinals. Thank God Floyd has developed some chemistry with Lindley-he's made adjustments on several plays and that TD in the last minute of the half was incredible. Hopefully SF was so demoaralized by Lindley scoring 2 TD's against them that they have yet another second half collapse and send Harbaugh off to Michigan with one more stinging loss.

And big kudos to the Rams for holding Seattle scoreless-can't believe that they can keep them that way though.

And season over for the Packers? Doubt very much Rodgers can play next week if they have to play...and seeing him early in the game struggling with the injury makes me think he shouldn't have been playing in the first place, playoff spot regardless.

Niners are basically playing 3rd stringers at most defensive positions right now. Don't put too much stock into what Lindley is doing today.

Oh I'm not really, but the guy was looking pretty horrible last week that even 3rd stringers should have been enough to challenge him. And they still may today. But he's had at least two long drives instead of 3 and outs. And got lucky on a couple of poorly thrown passes that could have been INT's.

Guess it depends on whether it is one of those injuries that can be worsened by playing or one that just makes it more difficult to play. If the latter I like his chances over Stafford.

While I don't think I'd have sent Rodgers back in, it is probably tough to keep him off the field when there's a game on the line.

There are so many things to like about Rodgers. Every once in a while you even see a bit of Favre in him. I think he's the clear MVP.

My preference, if you are choosing an offensive skill position, would be Murray. But it's always easy to see the QB on the team with the best record get it. Particularly if they had a difficult division. The 12-4 teams of New England (Brady was good), Dallas, Denver (Manning) and likely Green Bay are the obvious places to look. That's why Murray would be my choice, as a RB that made a 12-4 team in a day when that's a lot harder than it used to be.

Watt is the best player in the NFL right now and I don't think it's close. No other player is dominating his position at the level he is. IMO he's hands down the MVP.

Rodgers will win it though. Best QB on a playoff team.

Definitely has enough tools that it seems like he should have accomplished more. Will be interesting to see how he fits when the new coaching staff comes in.
