So I have the problem of too many viable WRs. I always end up seeming to leave my biggest performer on my bench. With the playoffs this week I want to get it right. I can start 3 of the following:
Golden Tate
Brandon Marshall
Josh Gordon
Jermey Maclin
Julio Jones

Who do you think I start and who do I leave on the bench?

Gordon is a no brainer, and I think you have to continue to start Marshall. At least I keep telling myself that about Marshall.

Gordon, Maclin and Jones. They are definitely your best 3 over the course of the season. The only one that gives me a little pause is benching Tate. He's been very good this year too, but at this point, you've got to roll with your 3 best players.

I'm suprised since you can only start three that you didn't trade one (excluding Gordon of course) off at some point. Would've been a huge haul for you.

I keep telling people we're just hitting our stride at the right time of the year.

Though my god, my WR situation has been absolute misery. Marshall's been a bust, and I've been rotating through the scrapheap for a WR2 on a weekly basis.

That was in our league, right? Did you notice that the highest point total (me) also had to win on the last day to get in? Weird.

I would go Romo; Evans and Beckham; and Walker.

SEA is not a high powered offense and is going 3000 miles east to play, so I figure a subdued game from Wilson (so that's why Romo).

Similarly, Maclin is likely to draw Sherman a lot, so go with the other WRs.

Walker over Reed for me is just about the Titans being worse on D than the Rams. Plus, I think the Rams are still trying.

I don't think Gordon is a no brainer at all. He still hasn't yet broken out yet since he started playing and the QB situation is a mess. Plus Crowell is running well, so I think the Browns are going to the run more.

I would go with Jones, Marshall and Tate. The Bucs don't have a great secondary and they will be trying to stop Megatron, so Tate has free reign in what should be a runaway game for the Lions. Jones is always good and ATL at home is pretty good offensively. Maclin is going against SEA, which is usually a bad WR matchup (and especially if he draws Sherman a lot). For me, it comes down to Marshall versus Gordon and I think tonight's game will be an offensive one, so go with Marshall.

So I have to win this week to make the big playoff money.

Here is my lineup:

QB Andrew Luck
RB1 Justin Forsett
RB2 Matt Forte
WR1 Brandon Marshall
WR2 DeAndre Hopkins
TE1 Kyle Rudolph
K Steven Hauschka
DST Colts

Bench:
QB Nick Foles (out)
RB Rashad Jennings
WR Mike Evans
TE Zach Ertz
K Shayne Graham
DST Arizona

Staying away from the Arizona defense right now thanks to their offense being neutered. My main questions are, I have played Evans the last 4 weeks, and last week was the first where he disappointed. Am I overreacting to Hopkins' big week by putting him in there, or can I reasonably expect Detroit's defense to shut Evans down?

Then, Jennings looked really good against JAX last week, but I saw he nicked his ankle. Plus, Miami didn't look that good against the Jets rushing, but will they overcompensate this week and shut down Forsett first?

Just wondering any thoughts.
Forsett's a no-brainer with Jennings injury.

I'd stick with Evans - he had 4 big games before one "off" one, and who else is TB going to throw to? - but I also might start both over Marshall.

Do you think you'll need a big game? I like Watkins in a probable shootout in Denver. Or do you think you'll just need a few guaranteed points? If it's PPR, Landry's pretty much guaranteed to get 10+ points.

Btw, it's crazy LSU lost 3 games last year despite having Landry, ODB, Jeremy Hill and Mettenberger.

Thanks to everyone for their advice. I have decided that CR's analysis feels right and am starting Marshall tonight. Still undecided for Sunday but think Tate is a likely against a weak TB secondary. Comes down to Jones, Gordon, or Maclin for the last slot and leaning towards Gordon now that Hoyer is the starter.

I am second in points for the league and have Luck, McCoy, and Forsett for QB and RBs. McCoy has underperformed but still never felt right to bring in a RB to supplant him and I couldn't extract the right value at TE (my weakest position) to make a WR trade worth it. My league also doesn't have much trade action so there's that.

Tre Mason vs Arizona or Latavious Murray @ KC?

Also, stick with Denver D @ SD and their terrible O-Line, or roll the dice with NYG vs. the Washington Redskin tire fire?

Yeah, I'd have Bed Intruders as the favorite even before all the injury questions for Team#2.

I'm running a playoff contest if anyone is interested. $50 with 100% going to the winners. Normally, we have 8 entries and I'm trying to pump the numbers up.

Here is the rundown:

Quote:
WELCOME TO THE NFFL PLAYOFF LEAGUE:

1. $50 to play. Depending on the number of entrants the payouts will vary but most likely winner take all. Payments to be through LeagueSafe before kickoff of the first playoff game. League is open to anyone, so if you have a buddy that wants to play... get us their e-mail address.

2. Pick a new lineup every week of the playoffs. Exact same lineup rules and scoring as our normal league.

3. You can only us a player once throughout the playoffs.

4. Scores add up over the four weeks and highest score wins.

Lineup requirements:
Total Starters: 10
Number of Starting QBs: 1
Number of Starting RBs: 1-3
Number of Starting WRs: 2-5
Number of Starting TEs: 1-3
Number of Starting PKs: 1
Number of Starting Defs: 1

Scoring system is .5/.75(TE) ppr with bonuses for long touchdowns and 100 (350 for QB) milestones. If anyone is interested, send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll get you setup.
