7 Jan, 1673 – We head deeper on their island and find Fak-Fak

14 Mar – We find Asmat

28 April – We find Yos Sudarso

11 May – We have a new heir 3/3/4

I begin a massive military build up. I have 7000+ gold. Let’s push my armies and navies

I order around 30k troops in South India and around 12 transports and more war ships

I spend 1400 gold on navy, army, and I stacked 4 warship orders each in my three shipyards – Vanni, Bengal Delta, and Tirunelveli

25 May – I send two more warships to our fleet that is in the Indies transporting folks around

3 June – Our Conquistador arrives in Daru on New Guinea.

20 June – By now, my navy has found around 8 or 9 sea zones in and around the bottom of Australia

27 June – I fabricate another claim against Assam’s land.

I am about to do some serious warmongering

I am getting upset by the Portuguese and Spanish presence here and they are allied – a war against one is a war against both. I could blow them out of the Indian ocean with the right results. Meanwhile I also have claims on much of Assam, and I could go to the war there and knock them down and out and grab their stuff. Either way, I start asserting my authority.

18 July – I find the province of Kerema

25 Sept – We find Hanuabada

1 Dec – I find Lae

I’m bored, so I fast sim to August 1677 when I can declare war on Assam.

15 September – I declare war on Assam. We had a RM so our stability drops one and I pay it back up

I order 31000 troops from Naga into Assam proper to face their 10000 defenses. Meanwhile 20000 from Limbuwan are heading into Koch and one of their allies is Pegu, so I order 27k troops from Chittagong to Kale

30 Sept – We win in Assam and defeat their force

28 Oct – Kale falls, and we head to fort Mrauk U

12 Dec – Mrauk falls and I move on to Pagan, a fort

26 March, 1678 – We take the capital – Assam.

24 April – I defeat a few small Assam armies

20 May – Darring, a non-fort holding in Assam falls

3 June – Sadiya also falls

17 July – Similarly, Bhutan is ours

27 Sept – Kohk hajo is also ours

21 Oct – I now have 58,000 troops in Koch in the siege

22 Jan, 1679 – We win the siege of Pagan in Pegu

1 Feb – Koch falls

2 Feb – Pegu gives me peace for War Reparations

7 Feb –

We take all six provinces that we have a claim to. Assam took one from Kachar, and they are left that. We gain 25 badboy.

I order some cores, but I’ll give you a quick run-down now:

Bhutan – Wool, Mountainous, Tibetan culture, 6 development
Koch – Bengali, grain, grasslands, 9 dev
Koch Hajo – Assamese, cotton, jungle, 13 dev
Darrang – Silk, Assamese, jungle, 13 dev
Assam – Assamese – grain, jungle, 19 dev
Sadiya – Assamese, tea, hills, 15 dev

All Hindu

Here’s the map. I know have every Indian province in our holding, and nothing else!!!

And there’s your closure. I’m not sure that I was feeling the whole Against Europe Theme at the end. So I stayed where I am. 100 Prestige, 100k manpower, 100 Legitimacy, 10k+ cash, an army with more than 200,000 soldiers – more than 80,000 more than the next highest. 106 ships, 15 more than the Ottomans in 2nd place. 100% Hindu. Still ranked 3rd. 148 provinces. 3x the income of #2 Ottomans. Production leader in Salt, Cloth, Silk, Tropical Wood, Cotton, Spices, Dyes, Coffee – 8 of the 23 non-gold goods.

We made more income in trade, 112 gold, than any country made combined.

Lots of people want A Base in India missions – Portugal, Russia, Spain, UK

So enjoy!

And there might be a tiny potential to see me come back to this one later (although I doubt it) to finish it up as the one blowing Europe back home and issue a sort of Indian version of the Monroe Doctrine.

But I'm tired. Physically. Like I mentioned in the WW Thread that I had to pull out of, I just can;t sustain this game and dynasty right now. I am putting in 12-14 hour days, and I'm not sure that after they all end in a couple of weeks if I'll even be in a place to finish up EU4. So I grabbed it today in between training, and then I can finish it up laters if I really feel it.

But hey, I finished India, and that was the goal. I can retire all happy, right?

RIGHT!!!

In real life one of the major issues with India was the divided culture and area based in large part on religious lines. By having one, unified, Hindu India, we have the ability to truly see its potential in this dynasty! (This is one of the reasons I stressed Religious Ideas and conversions so much here).
