I have memories of the 1980 world series, but the 82 series is the first one that I have a clear memory of watching. All those Brewers and Cards players were, besides Mike Schmidt, my first favorites.

His was one of the first baseball cards I remember getting, back when he was with the Astros.

I agree with the others. I grew up an Astros fan as a kid mostly from 78-86 and he was someone I remember back with the Stros.
