For those of you who recall the Ultron boss battle from a few months ago, today brings news that a Galactus boss fight begins next Thursday. It's gonna work the same way, which means we need all hands on deck this time next week.

We have four members who haven't played in 9+ months. I'd hope we can get you guys back for the week, at least, or if not, get some fresh blood in those spots so we have a shot at taking down Galactus.

Everybody who logs in during the event is supposed to be getting a special anniversary token, also, and double ISO for completing events during the promotion.

Essential characters for the Galactus have been revealed: Human Torch (Classic), Iron Fist, Jean Grey, Kamala Khan, Black Widow (Any), Captain Marvel (Any) Spider-Man (Any), Wolverine (Any)

Most of T.R.O.U.T should have the majority of those.

Way it works is pretty similar to Ultron: Fight Galactus (he doesn't move the board) to take down his health. After a Galactus fight, win or lose, you take on villains (Galactus doesn't have minions) to open up another crack at Galactus.

There are five or six villain nodes. Some are straight fights against goons, some are named villains with feeders, and some are wave fights.

The servers are a little wonky (no stop say it isn't so) so I'm not entirely sure of this, but it LOOKS like points earned against the nodes count towards overall round progress, so the points needed to earn each alliance reward aren't based solely on how much damage we do to Galactus.

I haven't been able to get in in the past 10 minutes.

I was in about 15 minutes before curtains up, which let me do some DDQ and play round 1 a bit.

Then my connection went bye bye and it's been over an hour without being able to get back in.

i was able to get one attack in, but when it ended i had lost connection. so my attack is sitting in limbo until i get back online.

I finally got back in. Alliance had cleared round 1. Good job, guys.

However, the nodes apparently no longer refresh if a round is cleared. So I got one node and one Galactus fight in, and now I get to wait 'til dinnertime to play again.

Spent too many points trying to snag a 1-star Spiderman to open up another node. Seems like it's normally every second 1-star I get, now no luck.
