First Headline in the Silly Season to 1998: Clint Bowyer to Melling

Clint Bowyer got 3 DNQ's in his 3 Races for Bud Moore Racing has announced that he will join Melling Racing getting Sponsorship for Cartoon Network in hopes Harry Melling can run his team for a full season in 1998

The Melling Race Team had tried luck with Irvington Student Jake Dody but a lack of sponsorship forced the team to a limited schedule. Jake has qualified for every race in which the team participated.

"We are just thrilled for the whole team who stuck together," said Harry Melling. Mark Melling (Vice President of Racing) added, "Lake and Jeff (Jeff Buice, crew chief) have done wonders with the budget we are on now. I can't wait to see what our boys can do with the proper resources. Stability is what it's all about and we can guarantee that now."

"Our prayers have been answered! Now we will be able to really go racing for the first time since I left Bud Moore," said Clint Bowyer. "It's great to have a sponsor like Cartoon Network that my whole family can get excited about."

Although this is great news, Melling Racing is still looking for sponsorship to run the last 2 races of the 1997 season. "We are only looking to cover our variable expenses such as tires and engines for the rest of the year," commented Mark Melling. "No sponsorship is too small at this point. We just want to race."

In Other News: Mikayla Richard will switch sponsorship to Gumout for Chuck Rider's #30 Pontiac Team in 1998, Gary Bechtel has planned to Keep Lauren Froderman until 2000 on the #29 Chevrolet but will keep AC Delco as sponsor, Bobby Allison didn't show up in the #12 it will be Davey Allison to move to the #12 in 1998 but they are plans that the Texaco/Havoline Sponsorship could be moved but CMC-Pinoy West Racing has planned to get a new driver for the #28 if this happens.

More Details on a Later Update following the next Starbucks Cup Race at RebaqueTech Superspeedway for the Pemex Eliminator 500 (Monterrey, Mexico)

This Just In: Davey Allison and Texaco/Havoline will be moving to Penske in 1998

Under a Surprise move Davey Allison will now be Penske Racing in 1998 to replace his father Bobby, as a result the sponsorship for the #28 car Texaco Havoline will now be moved to the #12, Davey said "A nice move for new sponsorship I don't want to worry to see Bobby going to the #22 Car or retire, but we better get that #12 car to win it all in 1998", The Texaco/Havoline sponsorship for Roger Penske will began in February with the Daytona 500

However the end of an era for Davey Allison & CMC-Pinoy West Racing has been started.

Kicking It Off at Tulsa - Super Track, Super Speedway, Super Heartland
(BGM: Kai - Say You'll Stay)

Before the race 5 Drivers had to race Throwback Schemes using those that were based in Darlington including Kyle Larson getting sponsorship for Mello Yello, Dale Earnhadt gets Sponsorship from Wrangler and Tony Stewart and Claire Bautista gets retro for these Sponsors and Kevin Harvick salutes the Cudettes as for the Current (2015) Southern 500 Winner Carl Edwards in which he got his sponsorship from Classified Records after he beated all 30 Drivers That have a Throwback Scheme in that race because he would start 17th with a scheme that will honor the first artist to be ever signed by the Record Company in 1994: Jocelyn Enriquez however Several Others are hoping to get a shot to add a Retro Paint Scheme if they can win the Chili Bowl Classic at Tulsa among them Jimmie Johnson if he wins he will get to use a new paint scheme featuring his sponsorship's (Lowe's) logo from 1946 to 1960, Dale Earnhardt Jr. hoping that he want an early-80's look if he wins at the Track, Darrell Waltrip decide to go retro with a Tide or Mountain Dew Scheme if he wins and so on.

But for Me in driving a Special Scheme saluting a Filipino Boy Band from the San Francisco Bay Area called Kai and I Started 25th however the Pole went to Kyle Larson in a Mello Yello paint scheme

Kyle Larson racing in the Qualifying Lap in his Mello Yello Scheme in Tulsa before Winning the Pole at the Track

And So It's Showtime, Alan Kulwicki took the lead in the First Lap of 200 in the Chili Bowl Classic however a good move for him but lap 25, Brad Keselowski in the White Blue Deuce #2 took the lap before the 1st Caution as Roger Yasukawa went out of the Race, Then Came the Halfway Point 13 Cars were involved in a Wreck including Pole Sitter Kyle Larson and they declared them out of the Race however then a Restart on Lap 105 as Kyle Larson inherited the lead in a Jocelyn Enriquez Paint Scheme giving him the lead but in the Jimmie Johnson stole Carl Edwards from the lead and went on to win the Chili Bowl Classic and Claimed the Rights to the 1946-1960 Lowe's Logo to run in a Future SNF (Saturday Night Freestyle) Race Jay Jianoran finished 2nd, Carl Edwards came in 3rd, Dale Earnhardt 4th and Darrell Waltrip 5th.
