What pisses me off is that yesterday it was in the mid 50s, and today it was in the 30s.....

It doesn't pay to complain about the cold this early in the year. Wait until January and February when it's about, oh i don't know, -10 without the wind.
Nothing is worse than getting out of work @ 2AM and walking 4 blocks to wait 20 minutes for a bus....when its below zero with high winds. That's why I tend to sleep at the studio durning the coldest days.

Ypsi today:
Low 23, High 35 (was 28 when I made my 15 minute trek across campus that resulted in my complaint - subfreezing) "Windy flurries with gusts in excess of 15 MPH may create significant wind chill" It felt like it was 0 or less today with the wind, and that's what I was compaining about. It was the first day this year where I walked across campus and said to myself, "Self, it's cold, get the f*** indoors." -Anxiety

We'll be getting that in a couple of months, most likely. Add in the lake-effect snow in our area, and there's no room for wimps here.

Despite all my bitching about the cold, I still enjoy the cold. Especially walking downtown at night when it is snowing. Very cool. But, then again, if it's snowing, it's usually not -35.
I could live with 15 - 32 all winter.

I'd like to quote my friends in the band Black Flood Diesel:
Quite the arctic climate, so tell your friends about it Well its nothing to settle on, but its our home now We stumbled here in error, and built a warming shelter The quiver in your bones now is just your home now I could leave, I could leave here I could leave, I.......... Sounds like a song from a band in Minnes-ote-a.

Then leave. No offense, but nothing irritates me more than people who live in my beloved state, but constantly complain about the weather. It's a package deal. If you can't hack it, then you shouldn't be here. Maybe that sounds harsh, but but I love my state.

People around here disgust me...when it gets into the 40s they complain that it's cold. Now, I'll admit, it's a bit cold by Santa Barbara standards...but Californians are wusses for the most part when it comes to cold.

I couldn't agree more. I for one LOVE the Winter, if it never rose above 40 again I doubt I would notice, or even care. Cover the ground in a blanket of white, let the wind sing operas in the trees. I'll die a happy man if I'm found frozen in a snowdrift at age 80+ Winter is Coming. |

Hey, I've lived in Michigan all my life, so its not as though I can't hack the winter. I just don't like it much. Sorry if that pisses you off, but its not as if I'm the only person here who complains about it. |

Stop complaining. I live in Fargo! You seen trees in North Dakota? NO! There aren't any. The wind starts about Montana and just gaines speed till it decides to freeze my ass. Then it tries to rip the goddamn door off my truck because it sees I am trying to warm myself in it. Fuck you wind. Fuck you winter. I will use aerosol hairspray until the O-zone is gone. What are you to do now winter.

I'm from Houston: I enjoy hot and humid. I'll take my 95-95 (temp-humidity) summers over 0 degrees and windy any day of the year. Then again, I'm not one to really complain about our 6 month summers- I wear it like a badge like you people who live in frozen wastes.
