Looking for a new game
Okay all I am looking for a new game to spend some extra time on. I am looking for something along the lines of Icewind Dale, turn based RPG with a decent story to occupy some of the little gaming time I have these days. Bad part is I will playing this on a laptop that is definitely not setup to play demanding video games. I have played the Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Planscape games.

Depending on the laptop, Pillars of Eternity or Wasteland 2 are the newer games like that. Those play well on my beefy laptop.

Divinity: Original Sin is your best bet if you want something turn based and a fantasy setting. If a fantasy setting isn't as important the Shadowrun series is a great option of you want something shorter than a 60-80 hour game line Divinity. The stories aren't connected so you don't need to play then in order, Dragonfall is the best of the three while Hong Kong has the best cast of characters.

Shadowrun is also a good option for regular laptops.

2nd the recommendation for Divinity if you're looking for turn based. If you want something that plays similar to the Baldur's Gate games then Pillars of Eternity is the way to go.

I just purchased Divinity enhanced edition since it was on sale. Looking forward to digging into it.

I'll second this. if my ancient rig can run it, a laptop should be fine

It is a great game. I'm playing it again just because I love the enhanced edition and never finished the original. |

On balance, I think I liked Wasteland 2 more than any of the games mentioned so far, and definitely won't be an issue for an older laptop
