Horizon: Zero Dawn
Guessing this will need its own thread. Only put 1 1/2 hours in, but really loving it so far. Seamless loads and the visuals are great. I'm itching to find out how mankind managed to screw up that it ended up like this game world.

Put in a couple hours this afternoon. Love the storytelling in the game. I'm just waiting for that first harsh dose of reality where there's an unexpected death. Seems like it's only a matter of time.
Hunting the mechs kind of reminds me a lot of the Metal Gear series. You can try to go in with guns blazing, but planning your attacks is a much better way of approaching it. |

Played 2 hours last night, did several side-quests. I have a feeling the sidequests are just going to be a slog of fetch-mes.
But holy moly, the robot creature hunting in this game is amazing. i can't wait to go face to face with the bigger, more dangerous beasts.

I'm afraid of these early beasts. They seem like a handful already to me. |

I've really enjoyed this game so far. I'm a few hours in. The game world seems big enough that there's always something to see but not so big as to be intimidating if that makes sense.

Once you start unlocking the ability to dominate the beasts, shit gets fun.

Yep, got that the other day. It's really a fantastic game. I've got a lot going on in my regular life, but I'm finding a way to sneak in an hour or so every day. Just love the art and the world. It's really immersive and I also always have this Resident Evil feel to it when night comes because I'm worried I'm going to wander into somewhere and get whacked by a beast when I don't see it coming. |

This might be the best game I have ever played. It has the perfect combination of everything.

Thoroughly enjoying this! The game is a thing of beauty in so many ways. So many jaw dropping scenes and I'm less than 10 hours in...

Funny moment last night. I was running a set of three raids with the War-Chief last night. Finished the last raid and heard a 'YES!' next to me on the couch. Realized my seven year old had put down her iPad and was watching the raids. She said 'I'm glad the good guys won!'

This is pretty funny. Sums up my experiences with some of these robots.
