I've waited 21 years for this! Thanks for the shout out.

Lost by a point. I was there... it was painful to watch them not foul on MSM's last possession. They didn't leave themselves enough time.

Then there was that whole teammate choking teammate thing.

I considered going to Dayton for the game, but I had decided that I would go to Buffalo instead if they had won.

I have been trying to figure out why they wouldn't foul on that last possession, and I sorta get it and sorta don't. Given the situation, UNO got the ball back exactly as they wanted. They wanted to be down by one point with the last shot. They trusted their defense to get a stop, which they did. On the other hand, with only one timeout left, they knew they would have to go the length of the floor to get that final shot. So while I get that they didn't want to risk being down by 3 or even 2, they really didn't have enough time to make something happen. So I get it, but I don't get it.

Unfortunately, Thibodeaux hurt the team with the choking incident. He's a complete hothead. He nearly derailed them in the Southland championship game, and he has a meltdown pretty much every night. His temper is holding him back as a player. He's going to have to behave like a leader next year because he'll be a senior and they're losing three starters and their sixth man to graduation this year.

Of course I wish the Privateers had won the game, but at least it was exciting and came right down to the finish. If they had to lose, at least it kept me on the edge of my seat.
