How do you like your toast?
Please base it on the attached picture.
Any answer other than 11 will be deemed wrong, although I would be willing to hear an argument for 15 if it's double spaced. |

15 for me
My wife would consider 16 burnt though. |

11 or 14 for me. Maybe 7 although it looks like an already dry bite would be even dryer.
Is this Nantz-inspired? |

The layout and numbering seriously bothers me. Why are 5 and 6 demonstrably more burnt than 3 and 4. 9 more burnt than 7 and 8, etc.
I do agree on 11 being optimal, though I'm far more open to imperfection here. |

8,11,14,15 are all acceptable to me I suppose.
But white toast? No thanks. |

I liked the little burned edges on 7, so I can have a little burned taste.

+1 11 would be acceptable but not optimal. I could also do 12 if it's jam-only or peanut butter. If anyone brought be 7 or 8, I would cut them with a rusty knife for failing to commit in either direction. I will not accept half measures. Last edited by Drake : 04-06-2017 at 06:32 PM. |

3 is ideal, though darker still is cool. All you people voting for those light things aren't eating toast. You're eating hard bread.

Damn, I didn't realize there was a visual aid. I voted 6 because I thought 6 was basically what 11 is.

7/8/11 but this numbering pisses me off.
Also depends on the kind of bread as I want a fresh baked loaf toasted a lot more than generic white bread. |
