FOFC- Favorite President Play-In Part A

Hope this doesn't step on anyone's toes but I thought it would be fun. In the old days I would worry about too many poll threads but knocking the NBA2K17 off the front page from a week and a half ago probably isn't the end of the world. JiMGa's comments alone will make this thread worth it!

How did the seeding come about?

Went through a handful of rankings and picked one that seemed pretty balanced. A few of them seemed heavily loaded towards Reagan/Ike or FDR/Clinton etc... I can post the link but one of the things I kind of liked about the other "tournaments" was the appearance of the different seeds as the tournament went on. Obamas seed may ruffle some feathers on here but that's why we vote!

Why the choice to go Chester Arthur instead of Chester A. Arthur

Very happy to see Taft beating the snot out of the putrid Franklin Pierce.

I get the feeling that the poll results of Hayes/Bush will be highly questionable.

Bush/Hayes was an interesting matchup for me. I highly disagreed with the Iraq War and could not stand most of the people Bush surrounded himself with. But our current President has given me a newfound appreciation for W.

Hayes was the guy that ended Reconstruction after the Civil War. That right there makes him one of the worst Presidents in history for me.

Love this idea, by the way.

Dola, I didn't vote for Nixon or Fillmore. Couldn't cast my vote for either.

eh, I was thinking I'd probably not bother. I'm not a huge fan of very many so it becomes a bit like current-era NASCAR, I have some to root against but few to actually root for.

So when FDR and Lincoln make their appearances in the round of 32 you won't be voting the opponents?
