19 games on the schedule this week, with 2 head to head games, both in the Big East and both featuring Pittsburgh.

2/27/19- Pittsburgh (Jace Hunter) @ #15 Marquette (Dean Hoo) -- Total domination for Marquette here, as they shot 54% while Pitt shot just 35.1%. Despite being outrebounded by 10, it was all Marquette in this one.

Final Score: #15 Marquette- 98, Pittsburgh- 75

Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- 25 mins played, 2 points, 1 FGM, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 3 fouls = 16 fantasy points. .640 for the game.
Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 26 mins played, 19 points, 7 FGM, 5 3PM, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, 3 fouls = 42.5 fantasy points. 1.635 for the game.

Easy wins for Dean here, both in team and player head to head.

3/2/19- #18 Louisville (Jaybard Riley) @ Pittsburgh (Jace Hunter) -- Cold shooting again doomed the Panthers, as they shot just 37.7% from the field. Free throws didn't help either as Louisville made 26 free thows to just 13 for Pitt. Despite committing 22 turnovers, the Cardinals get the road victory.

Final Score: #18 Louisville- 80, Pittsburgh- 71

Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- 10 mins played, 8 points, 1 FGM, 6 FTM, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls = 9 fantasy points. .900 for the game.
Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- 14 mins played, 2 points, 2 FTM, 1 rebound, 1 block, 1 steal, 1 turnover = 8 fantasy points. .571

Jaybard gets both the team and player head to head win for this game, although not as easy as Dean got it in the other head to head game of the week.

Now for the rest of the weekly recap:

SO PG David Ginsberg (#20 Syracuse)

24 fantasy points/15 mins played = 1.600 for the week.

RS FR C Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)

2/27/19 at #15 Marquette- head to head game, featured above.
3/2/19 vs. #18 Louisville- head to head game, featured above.

24 fantasy points/39 mins played = .615 for the week.

RS FR PG Dean Hoo (#15 Marquette)

2/27/19 vs. Pittsburgh- head to head game, featured above.
3/2/19 at DePaul (W 99-54), 29 mins played, 18 points, 6 FGM, 2 3PM, 4 FTM, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals, 2 fouls, POTG = 63 fantasy points.

105.5 fantasy points/55 mins played = 1.918 for the week.

42 fantasy points/46 mins played = .913 for the week.

**A side note on the Ole Miss game, as these stats caught my eye. The POTG for Florida had a double-double with 20 rebounds and 11 blocks. I calculated it, and had he been an FOFC player, his fantasy points for the game would have been 106.5. That's incredible!**

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#18 Louisville)

2/27/19 at Cincinnati (L 80-76), 23 mins played, 10 points, 4 FGM, 2 3PM, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls = 13 fantasy points.

Weekly Fantasy Rankings by Class

Sophomores

#1- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- .800
#2- Al Mighty (Texas)- .590
#3- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .554

It wasn't the best of weeks for our sophomore class, as they all struggled. Only David's performance at St. John's saved it from being a horrid week for the sophomores. Al struggled with fouls and turnovers, as did Rob. David gets his 7th weekly fantasy win for the sophomore class.

Freshmen

#1- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- 2.250
#2- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.918
#3- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- 1.600
#4- Benton Gale (Florida)- .913
#5- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .667
#6- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .615
#7- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- .200

Don't get me wrong, Dean was absolutely brilliant in his 2 games, with a POTG award to boot. Kuji had the advantage of only having 1 game this week, with limited minutes due to foul trouble. But when he was on the floor, he was an absolute beast, resulting in his 2nd weekly fantasy win for the freshman class. Tim also performed well, and this week, Deacon found himself at the bottom. For the first time in a long time, one of our FOFC players didn't play in a game due to a coaches decision.

Weekly Fantasy Rankings Overall

#1- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- 2.250
#2- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.918
#3- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- 1.600
#4- Benton Gale (Florida)- .913
#5- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- .800
#6- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .667
#7- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .615
#8- Al Mighty (Texas)- .590
#9- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .554
#10- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- .200

That big game in limited minutes for Kuji was enough to also win the weekly fantasy award overall. Wouldn't have taken much this week though, as our top 4 performers this week were all freshmen. In fact, 7 of the top 8 were freshmen. Not too often you'll see Al that far down, but he's certainly had his moments.

Now a look at the national top 25 for the week of March 4-10:

Weekly Fantasy Rankings by Class

Sophomores

#1- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 1.194
#2- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.000
#3- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .509

David had 2 solid efforts this week, and although neither one of them equated to a POTG award, nobody else in the sophomore class really had a standout week. Rob struggled with shooting woes once again, and Al had some turnover problems against Oklahoma State that hurt him.

Freshmen

#1- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.242
#2- Benton Gale (Florida)- 1.184
#3- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.095
#4- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .964
#5- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .731
#6- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .667
#7- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- .500

Dean was 1 of 2 freshmen to pick up a POTG award this week, with Benton Gale being the other one. The only difference is that Dean's POTG award showed just a little better stats than Benton's did, but it was very close. He ties Deacon with the freshman lead with 4 weekly fantasy wins for the freshman class. Not to rub salt in the wound, but Jace is our only active player not to win a weekly fantasy award this season, although he's been close a couple times. Not often you'll see Tim down at the bottom, but with 1 game this week in which he didn't do very well, that's where he is.

Weekly Fantasy Rankings Overall

#1- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.242
#2- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 1.194
#3- Benton Gale (Florida)- 1.184
#4- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.095
#5- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.000
#6- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .964
#7- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .731
#8- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .667
#9- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .509
#10- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- .500

So Dean gets his 2nd weekly fantasy win overall, thanks to his POTG, but it was close at the top. Rob is down at the bottom again, he hasn't had a particularly great sophomore season and is going to have to pick it up. Probably won't find Tim at the bottom too often, as he usually takes advantage of his minutes.

Here's a look at the national top 25 as we move into the week of March 11-17, as this will be conference championship week, the last official week of the regular season:

See, it's not about the fantasy player rankings for Kuji Chagulia. It's all about the TEAM! #5 with a bullet, baby!

23 games on the schedule this week for conference championship week, with 3 head to head games. Let's start in the Big East.

3/14/19- Big East Quarterfinal - (10) Pittsburgh (Jace Hunter) vs. (2) #9 Marquette (Dean Hoo) -- A nice comeback in this one for the Panthers as they rallied from a 6 point halftime deficit and took advantage of the free throw line to steal this one and move into the Big East Semifinals.

Final Score: (10) Pittsburgh- 79, (2) #9 Marquette- 77

Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- 21 mins played, 4 points, 2 FGM, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks, 1 foul = 16 fantasy points. .762 for the game.
Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 31 mins played, 8 points, 3 FGM, 2 3PM, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, 2 fouls = 26 fantasy points. .839 for the game.

So Dean wins the player head to head, but Jace gets the bigger win, the team head to head.

3/14/19- Big East Quarterfinal - (5) #15 Syracuse (David Ginsberg) vs. (4) #16 Louisville (Jaybard Riley) -- This one wasn't nearly as close, and again it was the free throw line that made the difference. Louisville made 18 free throws to just 4 for Syracuse, as the Cardinals roll into the Big East Semifinals.

Final Score: (4) #16 Louisville- 80, (5) #15 Syracuse- 63

David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 28 mins played, 17 points, 6 FGM, 5 3PM, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 1 turnover = 35.5 fantasy points. 1.268 for the game.
Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- 20 mins played, 3 points, 1 FGM, 1 FTM, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 2 turnovers = 13 fantasy points. .650 for the game.

Again we have a split, as David wins the player head to head with major ease, but Jaybard gets the team head to head in convincing fashion.

Now we move to the SEC for our final head to head game of the week:

3/16/19- SEC Semifinal - (3) #8 Florida (Benton Gale) vs. (2) #10 Mississippi State (Deacon Palmer) -- 31.7% shooting doomed the Bulldogs, who trailed by 19 at halftime. They could never recover, and Florida rolls into the SEC Championship.

Final Score: (3) #8 Florida- 63, (2) #10 Mississippi State- 50

Benton Gale (Florida)- 18 mins played, 10 points, 3 FGM, 2 3PM, 2 FTM, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 foul = 22 fantasy points. 1.222 for the game.
Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 11 mins played, 3 points, 1 FGM, 1 3PM, 3 rebounds, 1 assist = 13.5 fantasy points. 1.228 for the game.

What a close battle in the player head to head competition, as we have another split. Deacon takes it by .006 points, the closest we've ever seen. But, Florida and Benton got the team head to head, the one that really matters.

That takes care of the head to head games, now we move onto the weekly recap:

SO PG David Ginsberg (#15 Syracuse)

3/13/19- Big East Second Round vs. (12) St. John's (W 53-37), 20 mins played, 3 points, 3 FTM, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 4 fouls = 17 fantasy points.
3/14/19- Big East Quarterfinal vs. (4) #16 Louisville- head to head game, featured above.

52.5 fantasy points/48 mins played = 1.094 for the week.

SO SG Al Mighty (#4 Texas)

3/14/19- Big 12 Quarterfinal vs. (11) Baylor (W 95-77), 32 mins played, 32 points, 12 FGM, 8 FTM, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, 4 turnovers, 4 fouls, POTG, 66 fantasy points.
3/15/19- Big 12 Semifinal vs. (2) #11 Oklahoma State (L 78-71), 20 mins played, 20 points, 8 FGM, 1 3PM, 3 FTM, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls = 25.5 fantasy points.

91.5 fantasy points/52 mins played = 1.760 for the week.

SO SF Rob Nielsen (Stanford)

3/14/19- Pac 10 Quarterfinal vs. (6) Washington (L 69-61), 21 mins played, 5 points, 1 FGM, 1 3PM, 2 FTM, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 4 fouls = 14.5 fantasy points.

RS FR PF Tim Sheppard (#18 Michigan State)

3/17/19- Big Ten Championship vs. (3) #22 Illinois (L 74-67), DNP (Coaches Decision)

Tim was moved down a notch on the depth chart, inexplicably, and might not see any action the rest of the season. I don't understand that coaches decision at all.

RS FR C Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)

Weekly Fantasy Rankings by Class

Sophomores

#1- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.760
#2- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 1.094
#3- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .690

Easy win for Al, who picked up his 7th POTG for his sophomore season. Although his game against Oklahoma State wasn't great, that POTG performance was more than enough.

Freshmen

#1- Benton Gale (Florida)- 1.015
#2- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .891
#3- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- .853
#4- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- .839
#5- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .637
#6- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .578

2 out of 3 solid games was enough for Benton to get his 3rd weekly fantasy win for the freshman class, but it was pretty tight in spots 2-4. Still can't believe Tim didn't log at least a few minutes. Rumor is he might be on his way out at Michigan State.

Weekly Fantasy Rankings Overall

#1- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.760
#2- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 1.094
#3- Benton Gale (Florida)- 1.015
#4- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .891
#5- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- .853
#6- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- .839
#7- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .690
#8- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .637
#9- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .578

So Al picks up his 12th weekly fantasy win overall, obviously the most of any player, as he continues to show his domination. He'd probably be a lottery pick easily if I were to carry this over into the pro game. Unfortunately I'm not, because every time I try, things get messed up. He'll have to settle for being the best college player of our FOFC recruits so far.

No top 25 as we move straight into the postseason which will be all one post. That will come later this week, but before that, we have the monthly rankings coming soon. For those that signed up for season 4, don't worry, I do apologize for taking so long to get there, but we're almost there.

Monthly (Feb. 4-Mar. 17) Fantasy Rankings by Class

Sophomores

#1- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.233
#2- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- .941
#3- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .621

Although Al and David both had good months, Al was consistently over 1.000, and even almost hit 2.000 in the beginning week of this month, and that was enough. A lot of POTG awards helped too.

Freshmen

#1- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- 1.276
#2- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.094
#3- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.000
#4- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .885
#5- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .881
#6- Benton Gale (Florida)- .867
#7- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .723

Tim is back on top, winning his 3rd monthly fantasy award for the freshman class. Even sitting out last week, he still did enough to get back on top. I can't stress enough, it's all about taking advantage of the minutes you get. Pretty sad to see him not playing at all during the Big Ten Tournament.

Monthly (Feb. 4-Mar. 17) Fantasy Rankings Overall

#1- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- 1.276
#2- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.233
#3- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.094
#4- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.000
#5- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- .941
#6- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .885
#7- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .881
#8- Benton Gale (Florida)- .867
#9- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .723
#10- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .621

A pretty close one, but Tim gets the nod, barely. Despite all of Al's success in big minutes, it just wasn't enough to beat the guy that has very few minutes, but good minutes. 2nd monthly fantasy win overall for Tim.

2019 Postseason Preview

All 11 of our players made the postseason, so we will have at least 11 games to cover in the postseason. 10 of those 11 made the big dance, so let's preview where those 10 teams are going.

NCAA Tournament

Florida (Benton Gale) is the #3 seed in the West Region and opens up against 14th seed Presbyterian.

Pittsburgh (Jace Hunter) is the #11 seed in the West Region and opens up against 6th seed Wisconsin.

Arizona (Kuji Chagulia) is the #4 seed in the Midwest Region and opens up against 13th seed Xavier.

Marquette (Dean Hoo) is the #5 seed in the Midwest Region and opens up against 12th seed Penn.

Mississippi State (Deacon Palmer) is the #3 seed in the Midwest Region and will open up against 14th seed Wright State.

Michigan State (Tim Sheppard) is the #2 seed in the Midwest Region and will open up against 15th seed Sam Houston State.

Syracuse (David Ginsberg) is the #5 seed in the South Region and will open up against 12th seed North Carolina. Wow, what a blue blood showdown that is.

Texas (Al Mighty) is the #3 seed in the South Region and will open up against 14th seed Delaware State.

Louisville (Jaybard Riley) is the #2 seed in the South Region and will open up against 15th seed Tennessee State.

Duke (Will Brown) is the #6 seed in the East Region and will open up against 11th seed UTEP.

Lots of chances for head to head games in the NCAA Tournament, I'll be shocked if we don't see at least a couple.

That leaves one team, so let's look at where they are going.

Stanford (Rob Nielsen) will be the #4 seed in the CBI, and will host 13th seed Hofstra in the First Round.

So that's a look at all 11 of our FOFC players and teams, who will all get a chance to shine. I will try to have the postseason simmed and reported on sometime this weekend, if all goes well.

2019 Postseason

A huge post coming up, with 32 games on the postseason schedule. 5 of those are head to head games, so let's get started:

3/23/19- NCAA West Region Second Round - (11) Pittsburgh (Jace Hunter) vs. (3) Florida (Benton Gale) -- The Panthers have been rolling lately, and they continue that here, shooting over 50% and forcing 21 Florida turnovers. All that led to another upset and a trip to the Sweet Sixteen for Pitt.

Final Score: (11) Pittsburgh- 86, (3) Florida- 83

Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- 26 mins played, 5 points, 1 FGM, 3 FTM, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 foul = 19 fantasy points. .731 for the game.
Benton Gale (Florida)- 25 mins played, 19 points, 7 FGM, 5 3PM, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 1 foul = 36.5 fantasy points. 1.460 for the game.

So Benton wins the player head to head with major ease, but Jace gets the more important win, the team head to head.

3/23/19- NCAA Midwest Region Second Round - (5) Marquette (Dean Hoo) vs. (4) Arizona (Kuji Chagulia) -- The three point line was the difference in this one, as Marquette was 46.7% from behind the arc and Arizona was just 7.7% from there. All that led to a Marquette victory and advancement to the Sweet Sixteen.

Final Score: (5) Marquette- 64, (4) Arizona- 54

Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 30 mins played, 20 points, 7 FGM, 4 3PM, 2 FTM, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 turnovers, 3 fouls, POTG = 50 fantasy points. 1.667 for the game.
Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- 14 mins played, 4 points, 2 FGM, 2 rebounds, 1 assist = 10 fantasy points. .714 for the game.

Easy wins for Dean in both the player and team head to head.

3/28/19- NCAA Midwest Region Semifinal - (3) Mississippi State (Deacon Palmer) vs. (2) Michigan State (Tim Sheppard) -- This one was an instant classic, and if you like defense, this wasn't the game for you. Both teams shot over 57% for the game, but Mississippi State was able to take advantage of the free throw line, making 80.6% of their free throws. That was enough to advance to the Elite Eight.

Final Score: (3) Mississippi State- 108, (2) Michigan State- 106

Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 6 mins played, 5 points, 2 FGM, 1 3PM, 3 rebounds = 13.5 fantasy points. 2.250 for the game.
Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- DNP (Coaches Decision)

So the team head to head goes to Deacon, but I can't award him the player head to head because Tim didn't play. So no player head to head in this one.

3/29/19- NCAA South Region Semifinal - (3) Texas (Al Mighty) vs. (2) Louisville (Jaybard Riley) -- Nothing exciting about this one as Louisville made 15 three pointers and led by 21 at halftime. The second half was more of the same, as Louisville rolls to the Elite Eight.

Final Score: (2) Louisville- 84, (3) Texas- 60

Al Mighty (Texas)- 19 mins played, 10 points, 5 FGM, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 4 fouls = 10 fantasy points. .526 for the game.
Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- 23 mins played, 15 points, 5 FGM, 3 3PM, 2 FTM, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 3 fouls, POTG = 38.5 fantasy points. 1.674 for the game.

An easy win for Jaybard in both team and player head to head.

3/31/19- NCAA South Region Final- (5) Syracuse (David Ginsberg) vs. (2) Louisville (Jaybard Riley) -- An all Big East regional championship here, and it was much closer. 2 extra made three pointers were the difference in the game, as Louisville advances to the Final Four!

Final Score: (2) Louisville- 84, (5) Syracuse- 79

Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- 18 mins played, 5 points, 2 FGM, 1 FTM, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 turnover, 3 fouls = 11 fantasy points. .611 for the game.
David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 28 mins played, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 2 fouls = 17 fantasy points. .607 for the game.

So Jaybard again wins both the team and player head to head, although neither player impressed much in this game, and it was a very close player head to head race.

Whew! Now that that's over with, it's time for the weekly recap:

SO PG David Ginsberg (Syracuse)

3/22/19- NCAA South Region First Round vs. (12) North Carolina (W 56-45), 28 mins played, 14 points, 3 FGM, 1 3PM, 7 FTM, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls = 20.5 fantasy points.
3/24/19- NCAA South Region Second Round vs. (13) Davidson (W 80-56), 29 mins played, 10 points, 2 FGM, 2 3PM, 4 FTM, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 1 foul = 25 fantasy points.
3/29/19- NCAA South Region Semifinal vs. (1) Vanderbilt (W 88-72), 27 mins played, 11 points, 3 FGM, 3 3PM, 2 FTM, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 turnovers, 1 foul = 35.5 fantasy points.

3/28/19- NCAA Midwest Region Semifinal vs. (3) Mississippi State- head to head, featured above.

As expected, with the move down the depth chart, Tim didn't see a minute of action in the NCAA Tournament, not even in the blowout win against Sam Houston State. Terrible.

RS FR C Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)

3/22/19- NCAA East Region First Round vs. (11) UTEP (W 69-52).
3/24/19- NCAA East Region Second Round vs. (3) Oklahoma State (L 90-63).

What a postseason! Congrats to Rob Nielsen for his Stanford Cardinal winning the CBI Championship Series, and congrats to Jaybard Riley for the NCAA National Championship Game appearance. Damn those Jayhawks, as they knocked out 3 of our FOFC teams and players.

I am going to stop here, as I am battling a migrane, and adding up figures certainly didn't help. I will get the 2019 postseason and entire 2019 season rankings up this weekend, as long as let you know which of our FOFC players got season awards. We're almost done, the 4 recruits that have been impatiently waiting to get involved, your time is almost here.

2019 Postseason Rankings by Class

Sophomores

#1- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.178
#2- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- .875
#3- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .776

Al got a convincing postseason fantasy win for the sophomore class, thanks in large part to another POTG award. Rob wasn't bad in Stanford's CBI championship run.

Freshmen

#1- Benton Gale (Florida)- 1.880
#2- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.083
#3- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .919
#4- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- .891
#5- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .855
#6- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .815

An easy postseason fantasy win for Benton, representing the freshman class. He was dominant in both games he played in during the postseason, including a POTG award. Deacon had a nice postseason too, and less than a point separated spots 3-6, so everybody did well.

2019 Postseason Rankings Overall

#1- Benton Gale (Florida)- 1.880
#2- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.178
#3- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.083
#4- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .919
#5- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- .891
#6- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- .875
#7- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .855
#8- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .815
#9- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .776

Those 2 games that Benton starred in during the postseason were more than enough to win the overall fantasy contest for the 2019 postseason. All 9 of our players did really well, but poor Rob still ended up on the low end.

2018-2019 Season Fantasy Rankings by Class

Sophomores

#1- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.131 (1144.5/1012)
#2- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 1.033 (911/882)
#3- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .699 (584/835)

Al makes it 2 for 2 in his career, as he also won the season fantasy contest as a freshman. It was close though, as it was really between him and David all season long. Rob will have to step it up next season as these guys will all be juniors.

Freshmen

#1- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- 1.080 (176/163)
#2- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.012 (1017/1005)
#3- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.011 (232.5/230)
#4- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .922 (711.5/772)
#5- Benton Gale (Florida)- .912 (747.5/820)
#6- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .861 (427/496)
#7- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .726 (447/616)

Again, it's all about taking advantage of minutes. Tim played the least minutes of any of our freshmen, but he took the best advantage of those minutes. Almost seems unfair as Dean played the 2nd most minutes of all our players yet can only get 2nd place. That's ok, he made up for it in other ways (more on that a little later). Jace held down the rear, as he was the only freshman not to win a weekly fantasy contest this season.

2018-2019 Season Fantasy Rankings Overall

#1- Al Mighty (Texas)- 1.131 (1144.5/1012)
#2- Tim Sheppard (Michigan State)- 1.080 (176/163)
#3- David Ginsberg (Syracuse)- 1.033 (911/882)
#4- Dean Hoo (Marquette)- 1.012 (1017/1005)
#5- Deacon Palmer (Mississippi State)- 1.011 (232.5/230)
#6- Jaybard Riley (Louisville)- .922 (711.5/772)
#7- Benton Gale (Florida)- .912 (747.5/820)
#8- Kuji Chagulia (Arizona)- .861 (427/496)
#9- Jace Hunter (Pittsburgh)- .726 (447/616)
#10- Rob Nielsen (Stanford)- .699 (584/835)

All those POTG awards that Al had this season (8 by my count) were enough to narrowly edge him by Tim. Amazing that it was that close, but it was. I hope I didn't mess up on any figures, I'm pretty sure I haven't to this point, but if anybody wants to take the daunting task to make sure everything is accurate, feel free. Otherwise, we'll go as is. A logjam in the middle, with Jace and Rob both needing to step it up next season. Al wins his 2nd season fantasy contest overall, he's 2 for 2. We'll see if anybody can stop him next season.
